Took the kids down to see friends and catch up at the brewery - was shocked that 2 small sizes of chips was $26! Paid with cash and got the photo attached in return.
Yes I understand cash is cash but to be handed back a fist full of silver off your $40 is a little rich… also disappointed in the quantity of the chips and wait time (over 35mins) the tomato sauce was watered down and thinned out.
It was busy yes, but my children were sitting out the front of the van with the number and the staff missed them and wandered in and out of the brewery and it was myself that spotted your staff inside the brewery looking lost with food on a platter so I stopped them. The food was warmish when they started to eat them.
Pricing is extremely high and size is small - was told the chips would feed 2 people. For 2 servings, they didn’t come close to slightly feeding my 3 kids, had to stop to get more food on the way home
For the price of $26 I would receive more chips at any other take away store or fish n chips in the area.
I see in your replies to reviews you talk about expenses and being a food truck… I understand you are a food truck - but I fail to see the justification on the pricing on a van that is not mobile and remains in the same location. I also know your expenses are not the same compared to other trucks as they are shared with the brewery, rubbish elec gas etc…
I have supported yourself and the brewery since 2019 and are frequently there, but I feel that it is now no longer viable to purchase from...
Read moreShockingly overpriced. Charged $15pp for a grazing platter that I could have and should have done myself for less than half the prices. If you look on their Facebook page they catered 3 measly platters for 40 people and charged $600.
When I commented on their photo on their Facebook page of how ridiculously overpriced they are they removed my comment and blocked me from writing a review on their Facebook page. Can get catering from Costco or Woolies for 1/3 of the cost. Do not recommend at all. Service was also appalling.
Edit: Received a reply from the owner stating that it was a fair price. No one ever came up to me to ask me if I was satisfied with the food provided and as it was an event that I was hosting I did not have time to come and discuss the foods with you. How unprofessional it is to delete an honest review because you deem it as negative when others may find it helpful when offering your overpriced foods.
Again, it is not a fair price and yes it was request for pregnancy friendly foods but a whole coconut that no one can eat because it was still in its shell and foods that no one new what it was is completely uncalled for and was not requested.
I have also compared with other companies and they were charging maximum half the price they were charging.
You are quick to pass the blame onto someone else and remove comments of free speech because it doesn’t agree with your seemingly fake reviews. If you deleted my comment how many others have you deleted ?
What a joke. Avoid...
Read moreThey threw in an extra burger and chips that we didn't ask for, but hey, they charged us for it, to increase their revenue. They didn't accept cash, which is still legal tender, last time I looked. They didn't provide the printed receipt, which was super convenient given that they billed me for extra food that wasn't ordered, most likely so that you have no audit trail to prove that you were charged extra for food that you didn't want.
The worst point was that we asked for no pickles and no sauce for two of the burgers (serious allergy issues). The assistant read it out to us to confirm, and then they proceeded to add pickles and sauce to the burgers. Seriously! How do you get that wrong? I thought it was just McDonalds, Hungry Jacks, KFC with teenagers that stuffed up orders, but it looks like now after many years of putting up with incompetence, you find that most food service people simply are stupid, don't care to listen to custom orders, or are evil. Customers are your business! Maybe try listening to them and offering them actual service with your overpriced food.
The cheese sticks were more like cheese twigs, over priced ($17 for 6 "Coles-grade" cheese sticks). Their photos of their cheese sticks are either Google Images stock photos, or they are a deliberate deception. It is sad that in today's Australian food industry, business operate on such small margins that the only way to generate a profit is by screwing their clients, no matter...
