Cafe Innovation — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’ve been a regular (almost daily) customer for a few months now. I’m not a big fan of places leaving pre cooked food in a Bain Marie until it’s cold and still claiming it to be fresh. I was getting irritated by how often the quick grabs from the warmer would be cold so I started requesting if the chips could be made fresh. The woman behind the counter always claims they are fresh, then charges me full price for me to have a bite or two and throw it in the bin because it’s stone cold. I understand we’re in an industrial estate and things won’t be piping hot but to flatly refuse paying customers to have fresh food for things that take less than four minutes to cook is pretty piss poor. (the staff are lovely I don’t have a bad word to say) I wouldn’t usually leave a negative review but it’s to the point where the overpriced 2 minute noodles from the vending machine at work are more enticing than the quality of food available...
