Ambience:

Chatkora’s Restaurant offers a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of India. The decor is colorful and inviting, with plenty of seats.

Food: The highlight of this restaurant is undoubtedly its authentic and diverse menu. From the delicious papri chat to the savory and crispy Samosas and dal kachori, the variety of chaats offered is impressive. Each dish is prepared with fresh ingredients and spices that burst with flavor. The samosa chat and Aloo Tikki are must-tries, and the Dahi Puri provides a refreshing twist with its cool yogurt topping. For those with a sweet tooth, the Gulab Jamun and selection of pastries are delightful desserts that perfectly conclude the meal.

Service:

The staff at Chatkora’s Restaurant are friendly and attentive, ensuring that diners feel welcomed and well-cared-for. Service is prompt, and the waiters are knowledgeable about the menu, offering helpful recommendations for first-time visitors.

Price:

The prices are reasonable, offering good value for the quality and quantity of food served. It’s an excellent spot for enjoying a delicious and chatkara meal without breaking the bank.

Overall:

Chatkora’s Restaurant is a fantastic destination for anyone craving authentic Indian street food. I visited Chatkora Restaurant for dinner last night with my family, and, regrettably, the experience fell far below our expectations. We ordered chole poori, a tikki burger, and their fried champ. While the food itself was satisfactory, the service was profoundly disappointing and left a lasting negative impression.

During our meal, my sister politely requested some additional sauce for her burger. A staff member acknowledged the request and assured us it would be brought promptly — however, she never returned. After waiting patiently for over 10 minutes, we approached another staff member, only to be met with an unexpectedly hostile and discourteous attitude. Although the sauce was eventually delivered, it was done so in a manner that lacked the basic courtesy expected in any hospitality setting.

Moreover, when our fried champ was served, we were not provided with any additional plates, making it extremely inconvenient to share or eat comfortably. It is surprising and quite disheartening that such fundamental aspects of customer service — attentiveness, politeness, and a readiness to assist — were so noticeably absent.

This was our first visit to Chatkora, and based on the dismissive behavior and unprofessional conduct of the staff, it may very well be our last. Hospitality is not merely about serving food; it's about creating a welcoming and respectful environment for diners. Unfortunately, this establishment failed...

One of the Worst/Disgusting/Wahiyat restaurants I have ever been to. We went today and ordered around 8.50pm . One of the quickest order in our life came around 10pm. The order was of a queen meal. Looks like they went to groceries, got all the vegetables then came back and started cooking.😂😂😂. We were waiting patiently till then, suddenly my wife asked why it was so late. The reply was "We are serving based on the order number". Then I countered them asking then how the hell on earth people came after us already got their food and about to leave. Reply was Sorry Sir. Story doesn't end there, when queried about our other orders they went to kitchen and came back asking show us your order. So basically someone took our order and gave it to someone else and marked completed there.. Mockery was written all over the place.

On top of all they have 90% of ladies serving there. can't even raise your voice. Nice strategy. Then seeing me , an other family joined me and asked them where is their Rajma Chawla which they have also ordered 1hr before. 1 start can't justify this. Please have -10 star.

Pathetic, Ridiculous are bare minimum for this service. Never ever going back there and will tell all my friends and family here to also never go.

Best Indian 🇮🇳 restaurant in Melbourne Victoria Chatkoras Melbourne – A Vegetarian Indian Delight with Warm Hospitality! 🌱🍛🇮🇳 If you’re looking for authentic and delicious vegetarian Indian cuisine in Melbourne, Chatkoras is a hidden gem you must try. From street food favorites to hearty traditional meals, every dish is full of flavor, freshness, and care. ✨ What we loved: • Dahi Puri – Crisp, refreshing, and beautifully balanced with tangy and sweet flavors. • Dabeli – Perfectly spiced with a lovely crunch – just like the ones you get in Gujarat. • Jowar ki Roti & Makki di Roti – Rustic, wholesome, and made just right. • Sarso ka Saag – Rich, traditional, and incredibly comforting – a true winter delicacy. • Soya Chaap – Succulent, flavorful, and grilled to perfection – a great protein-packed option. • South Indian Thali – A well-curated platter with authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent variety. The staff at Chatkoras were not only professional and courteous, but also genuinely welcoming and attentive. Service was prompt, polite, and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re craving chaat, thalis, or regional specialties, Chatkoras delivers with authenticity and heart. A must-visit for vegetarian food lovers in Melbourne! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My recent visit to Chatkoras left me with mixed feelings. Let me break it down: Food Quality We ordered the Vada Paav, Aloo Tikki Chaat, and Noodle Burger. The Vada Paav, unfortunately, missed the mark on authenticity. The bun was overly buttery and grilled, which deviated from the traditional Mumbai style. While the Aloo Tikki itself was well-cooked and crispy, the overall chaat was too sweet for our taste. The Noodle Burger had an average taste, with a hint of an off-flavor likely from the grilling oil. Service and Ambiance On the bright side, the service was commendable. The owner personally visited each table to inquire about the food and gather feedback, which showed a commitment to customer satisfaction. The ambiance was pleasant, contributing positively to the dining experience. Recommendation While our experience with the specific dishes we ordered was not exceptional, it's important to note that our review is limited to those items. Other offerings at Chatkoras may be worth exploring, and I would be open to giving it another try in the future. Chatkoras has potential, but there is room for improvement, especially in maintaining the authenticity of regional flavors and ensuring consistency in taste across dishes.
