Is it a Cafe, a restaurant, a grocery? Hell you could be all three but you don't really cater enough to either aspect to be called one let alone all three. Speaking of catering, seems the workers are more focused on prepping food for catering external gigs then the customers in store. Items on menu are not fresh when eating in, service is slow, seems that if you are not mauritian you may just walk out not even knowing what you have purchased as the description isn't made for people that aren't mauritian. Is the store creole corner or still Lucy's devine Cafe? If you pay the rent then request for old signage to be removed and create an official identity. Food should never be microwaved and reheated, well at least not in an obviously horrible way in front of paying customers. Please either try to do things to Australian standards if you can't cater to how a store in mauritius sets...
Read moreWas super excited to go there for a Mauritian meal specifically for the Dholl puri.Unfortunately, was super disappointed with the dholl puri. $4.50 for a dholl puri that had barely any curries in it. A tiny bit of curry in the middle and that's about it. The gateau arouille was super hard to bite in, definitely not authentic. Mine frite had barely any chicken. The tarte banane was stale and mixture undercooked. We were very disappointed and the only good thing was the service. We have definitely eaten better in other Mauritian restaurants.Apologies corner creole for this not so great review but the money spent wasn't really...
Read moreMy favourite Mauritian restaurant in the area. The food is always fresh out, the best being the mine frite in my opinion and the dhal puri.
I'd highly recommend the gajacks as well, specifically the di pain frire with satini. Everyone is super friendly especially the owner who loves to have a chat with every guest walking in. He adds to the ambience and makes it feel just like Mauritius.
Please stay open I will cry if you guys ever close down 😭 This is a little piece of Mauritius here...
