Pretty disappointed with the service. It seems like venues are replacing staff members with poorly placed QR codes, I had to lean over my sister to scan the code as it was placed on the end table rather in the centre of a row of 3 tables. The result of having to order from an app that kept crashing meant our meals all came out at different times which is always frustrating. The one staff member on duty behind the bar seemed annoyed every time we went to the counter to order. Not everyone is tech savvy and it shows a real lack of knowledge of the venueās customer demographic to make ordering on a mobile device the preferred method. Rather than coming over to our table (we were the only customers in the bistro so it wouldnāt have been unmanageable) to ask if weād like anything else as the restaurant is due to close shortly, we were greeted with an eyeroll at the counter when we went to order a dessert as we couldnāt find what we wanted on the ridiculous app and then informed the restaurant was closing in 10 minutes. The poor/lack of customer service takes away from the whole experience of going out for a meal. We may as well have just gone through some fast food drive-thru. All of this has taken away from what the food was even like, which was pretty typical pub food that made me horribly ill for the rest...

We came to the hotel for a trivia night that my friends were hosting for the bushfire appeal. Not only was the service incredibly slow, but the quality of said food was incredibly unpleasant.
Half of our table (of six) received their food an hour after the first meals were served and the meals that were served with either cold or the calamari and parmas were too tough.
When the time came for deserts, we were informed that half of those on offer were in fact not available - taking away half of the available options. We were then asked to change our orders, the deserts supplied were tasteless, repugnant and rancid. Those of us on the table were extremely dissatisfied with what we received.
The employees were incredibly disorganised, with a lack of communication between customers and the waiting staff. Overall - those of us who were on the table were extremely discontent with that we were served, the overall service was horrible and those of us who were on the table made the definitive decision to not return to the Deer Park Hotel in the near or distant future.

Asked for carlton draught and 1 was confused so worked the till but a simple order was a stretch and was going to be charged for someone else's drink with my order. My ribs came out just warm so I asked them to heat them up and they gave me a new meal after about 25mins. It was unneccessary to throw out $38 of ribs. Food was only ok. My son bought the 4 Jack daniels stubbies in an ice bucket as was the promotion but was given 4 not very cold stubbies and no bucket. I went up and asked for the bucket of ice and the woman tried to give us 4 schooners of ice. Would think if they have a promotion like that they would understand and be capable to get what we asked for. The staff serving in bistro either don't understand English or need more training. Not a happy visit and 1 of the barmaids I know has been there for at least 2 months and is not getting better as she has served us on several occasions and just isn't getting better.
