Double Zero Pizzeria - Caulfield — Restaurant in Melbourne

I rang up and ordered 2 pizzas and was told 20 mins. I arrived 25 mins later and was told they would be ready in another 10 mins. I waited in my car and returned after 10 mins. The guy was still making them and hadn’t even put them in the oven! I got frustrated and asked him why didn’t he just tell me on the phone it would take 40 mins, or told me it would take 10 more mins when I came in as it was going to take yet another 10 mins in oven. He said that some guy came in after I ordered and gave him a hard time for discount on a larger order. I told him he had my number in the phone and could have rung back, or just asked the guy to wait while he made mine. He said he didn’t want the guy to get upset and be rude like I was. I asked why he thought I was rude given I hadn’t raised my voice, swore or insulted him. He just looked sheepish and apologised. The pizzas took 45 mins in the end, and only after I left that I realised he’d made the order that came in after mine first as there were no other pizzas in the oven!

So, customer service couldn't be worse, telling me I was rude when I wasn't, and lying twice about how long it would take to make the pizzas. As for the pizzas -...

It was my first time ordering from here after finishing a job. Our friend highly recommends it and brought us here to grab dinner. I had the chicken classico and it was freshly made with generous amount of cheese. The ratio of toppings did not overwhelm the overall taste of the pizza.
