Ducky Brown Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Overpriced, basic and no regard for customers who have dietary requirements. When I asked y’all at the til what options there were for vegan I got told

I’m sorry? I manage a cafe that happily caters to vegans and I can tell you thAt a) telling a customer “sorry there’s nothing you Can have” and b) offering a lettuce and carrot sandwich ….. is appalling.

This place is obviously targeted At a basic demographic from 1970 who want coffee cake and slapped up focaccias … not for anyone who may have a decent palate and prefers a 2020”s open minded cuisine.

We don’t have options? For vegans? It’s not that hard.

What an embarrassment. Won’t be back in the area again if that’s the attitude and basic nana...

Soup - cold - microwaved to boiling point when i asked for a fresh one. Asked for something vegan - was told "nothing for you, we dont serve vegan"..... asked if i could have a sandwich then.. and honestly if the servers eyes could have rolled back any further they wouldve fallen out. Got a "basic" sandwich i ws told when it served... sorry .... wording was "who has the basic food"...

honestly unless your a senior who wants coffee and cake or just a "basic" eater with no interest in food with creativity... keep driving..... or go to woolies next door and grab something...

The best customer service, lovely friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere and the food 😍😍 it was perfectly well done and delicious ❤ I ordered the pork roast and roasted marinated vegetables.... omg! The pork was to perfection, the crackling, YUM! and the roasted veggies marinated in Moroccan sauce... there are no words to describe how amazing that was. The whole meal was so great.
