The Eating Station is an absolute local gem that I've had the pleasure of visiting several times. Whenever I feel the need to escape my home office, this is the perfect spot for a delightful brunch experience. Without fail, the staff at The Eating Station always greet you with warmth and provide exceptional service, ensuring that you feel welcomed and appreciated throughout your visit. While my usual go-to dish is the classic smashed avocado, I decided to switch things up today and opted for the tantalizing chicken focaccia accompanied by a side of crispy chips and a takeaway coffee. The food at The Eating Station never fails to satisfy, and this occasion was no exception. The chicken focaccia was an absolute delight, generously portioned and bursting with delicious flavors. The accompanying chips were served with a delectable sauce, sparing me the need to ask for it separately—a thoughtful touch that I truly appreciate. As for the cappuccino, it was expertly crafted, striking the perfect balance between milkiness and the rich taste of the coffee beans used. If I were to consider any downside, it would be in terms of value—an aspect that I personally take into account when sharing my reviews. The side of chips, priced at $7-8 for a relatively small serving, felt a bit on the pricey side and didn't offer the best value for the money spent. However, it's worth noting that their other main dishes and the overall pricing at The Eating Station are reasonable and fair. All in all, The Eating Station is a fantastic spot and undoubtedly one of the hidden gems in the western region. Whether you're seeking a delightful brunch or a satisfying meal, this local treasure is sure to exceed your expectations.

Solid brunch place. Location: somewhat odd location, located next to a office building, childcare, and another restaurant and that's it. Quite useful for the people of Derrimut. At the same time, the surrounding area is non inspiring as it's just mostly industrial scenery. Atmosphere: inside the Cafe is nice. And a very small kids play section which helps those with kids. Service: nothing significant to complain about. Staff are responsive and work quick. But could do with more smiles and general friendly demeanour. Food: food is overall good. I've have visited a few times and sampled different dishes. There has been one dish I disliked (can't quite remember the title, but it was something like their alternative noodles dish, the noodles turned out to be terrible). But other than that one dish everythjng is good. The manga smoothie is odd, not bad, just odd, and its not entirely liquidly so when drinking it doesn't up the straw as you'd expect. Price : as a staple sign that you're eating at a brunch place, most of the prices seem crazy. For example, the lamb curry I had was something like $26. I'm 100% sure if I went to an authentic Indian restaurant the same dish would be between $15-$20. Also, bottles orange juice was $7.50 (or $7.90). Nuts. Due to the prices and atmosphere of the surrounding the location, I must deduct a point. 4/5

Great venue and a really extensive menu with some super cool options. I would say this cafe combines your standard everyday cafe with some contemporary options, such as your chilli scrambled eggs to brioche French toast. the dishes certainly look amazing. The service is not bad here, quite prompt infact. However where they lose out is the quality of the food based on my visit. I had ordered the chilli scrambled eggs with a side of bacon, which did fill up the whole plate. The scrambled eggs were very mushy and bland, no flavour, salt required. Only a few small slices of chilli were found, the rest was chilli sauce and chilli flakes. The consistency of the eggs were also very lumpy and sloppy. Something that would come out of any home kitchen. The bacon ordered was cooked well but extremely dry and chewy. If quantity over quality is your thing - this is your place.

This is my favourite cafe in the area! Had ordered quite a few items for my family and I always get their veggie focaccia which is very good, so had told the cashier that when I ordered the onion rings on its own before I liked this sauce which was so good that came with it and described it as light pink or red and someone next said it is chipotle sauce! So i ordered onion rings on the side with my focaccia plus paid extra $1 for the sauce. Unfortunately, when the order arrived it was chips so I have informed the waitress right away it must be onion rings, so she had to go back and came back saying no it is chips and i insisted that is why I ordered the sauce bec I wanted onion rings on the side. She said the cashier repeated your order and showed me the order receipt, still tried to explain myself and yet she shoved into my face that I should have checked my order then (she didn’t say these words but that’s how it literally felt). Yes, I think it was my mistake for not checking it but it got me frustrated probably because the way how I was dealt and it was like there was no point of me explaining myself cause she made it very clear to me it is on the receipt. Like 3x. I probably had the expectation they would consider changing it as I’ve been going to this cafe for more than 3 years now and never had a bad experience. Should have probably not expected. That kinda ruined my morning appetite especially if you are so excited to have your bfast meal which you really love. So the star I am giving is with the service of staff...

This is by far my favourite cafe to share with my guests at any opportunity. The food is delicious to the eye and palette!! This particular visit however was disappointing. Ordered 5 meals - one of which was a Steak sandwich for my daughter. The fried egg was under cooked (clear goo sliming off the sandwich enough to fill a teaspoon). When I raised the issue with the waitress, her response was met with useless remarks “how did you want it cooked?” (Cooked!) “You have to say how you want it cooked” (didn’t think I had to state I’d like my food cooked, but she failed to display the notice that says I have to tell them how I’d like my eggs cooked?! đŸ˜•đŸ€·đŸ»â€â™€ïž) “so what do you want?”(instead of offering the initiative to offer any reconciliation - discount off meal, a free cake, she instead offered to recook the partly eaten undercooked egg) My daughter would have continued eating her meal if it weren’t for my interjection. And if there were some acknowledgment and respect I would not have made such a fuss. But why would I accept to pay for a meal at a standard I would not even cook or serve my kids myself?! And it’s only an egg!

We received a refund for the entire meal (which served me some justice to the staff’s negligence but but not without first feeling the staff’s annoyance with our complaint through blatant side eyes at our table.

Apart from the dishes - this is still my favourite cafe for everything! The staff service needs a lot of work however and it could be what actually ruins this café business in...
