Elements Eatery — Restaurant in Melbourne

I recently visited this café, and while the atmosphere was cozy, my experience was unfortunately far from pleasant. It started with the staff, who were downright unfriendly— the smallest request like an extra shot of coffee was the biggest inconvenience. Not a great way to start a meal.

To start Eggs Benedict, which, to my surprise, came with raw eggs. I know it’s meant to be poached, but they were too undercooked, which really threw off the dish for me. The iced drinks we ordered also arrived in what could only be described as child-sized cups—definitely not worth the price. I didn’t realise “iced long black” meant 2 shots over ice in a mug?

The real disappointment, however, came with my burger. The burger was supposed to come with beef patties and an egg but when it arrived, the egg was missing which wasn’t a big deal. However, rather than remake it, they just added the missing items into the same burger, which had been sitting out for quite a while by this point, meaning the burger was soggy and unappetizing. It was frustrating, to say the least.

Been coming here over the past 2 years as using the gym 4 times a week and have always loved the range of food and the taste as well as great coffee. We loved it so much we invited friends here to have breakfast or lunch. The only drawback so far is the slow drawing back on certain products like the sausage rolls that I was drawn to because of their taste and size but I’ve noticed that not only are they becoming smaller but the taste is not as appealing as once were, also some of the dishes are lacking the amount of meat that they once had. So hopefully the quantity and quality stays the same...
