We ate: Salt and Pepper Calamari. Diners Notes: Freshest and best flavoured they have had in a long time, the calamari was fresh to death, the chips crispy, the salad seasoned an overall outstanding dish.
Chicken Parma: Best sauce the diner has eaten in a pub, great portion, crispy chips, moist chicken.
Vegetarian Curry (can always be risky): Executed to perfection, a little spice, great creamy flavours, served with fluffy saffron rice.
Crispy Tofu Burger (subbed in House made hand cut ships for normal chips): Deeply satisfying with great texture, balance and flavour, the chips are truly next level.

Read moreBeen living in Brunswick West now for a couple of years....Started going to the GrandView pre COVID and always enjoyed meals and the atmosphere and then lockdown happened.....We started ordering meals during lockdown and it became our regular Saturday Night takeout.....Now that we’re getting into the new Post COVID every weekend we can we’re at the GrandView ....Rob and Liz run an amazing pub and are great people! DO NOT miss the cheese burger rolls as they are incredible and truthfully you can’t really go wrong....Steak, Parmas , Gnocchi, Vegetarian meals the quality is always consistently good and never had a bad meal!
All the staff are great and Casey especially always does such a great job of making us feel welcome and we feel as if we’re dining more with friends

Until the rooftop gets its moment the View is not that Grand, the exterior is "Brunswick Stately", and there isn't one striking feature. But when you go inside you can choose to drink and eat fine food in a bar with a pool table and loud sport support (esp. when the Pies play), or turn a corner and simply dine inside, or roll on through to a well-furnished garden with a sculpture I might even "borrow". I think there's a room for hire. The cuisine is not cheap but it isn't nasty either, and the most endearing aspect is always that knack of making you think you are a little bit more speciale - not just another passing deal.
