Il Porto — Restaurant in Melbourne

I would travel hours to eat at Il Porto if I ever had to. I refuse to order pizza from anywhere else & any of the times I did, I have been so disappointed. I have taken many friends to eat in & everybody has raved about the pizzas. Generally I order in weekly & dine in once or twice a month. Their staff are wonderful, their service is quick & I always leave happier.

I always order a Focaccia Bianca & Margherita, my ex partner’s favourite is the Salumeria. My friends have ordered other pizzas & all have been just as incredible! The crust on their pizzas is out of this world. Pizzas are always cooked perfectly & their toppings are high quality. You can tell these guys cook with love, I will never stop raving about their food & just how amazing Il Porto is.

We were warmly welcomed on our arrival for dinner at Il Porto. The staff were friendly and cheerful, the Italian music added to the atmosphere. The pizza was delicious! We had the Salumeria and the Vegana with added smoky mozzarella... amazing! Best pizza we have ever had! The house made base was unlike any pizza base we have ever had before. The toppings were a perfect blend of flavours that complimented each other. We finished with dessert.... Tiramisu, a smooth, creamy delicious dessert. We also shared the Red wine poached pear pizza with sweet ricotta. I have no words to describe this incredible pièce de résistance. You have to try it! Molto deliciozo! This place is a ‘must go’! If you are in Melbourne you really have to take a drive to Avondale Heights and enjoy a meal at Il Porto. Thank you so much for making our visit to Melbourne a memorable one... We will definitely be back...

This is by far the best pizza in Melbourne. Every single item on the menu is incredible and after living locally for the last 4 years we've tried almost everything.
