NEVER trying to make an order via their official website!
At time of lunar new year 2021, ordered a bunch of food via ordering through their website. Food was not delivered on time, called them to enquire and the response was they didn’t know there was an order at all!!! Hello isn’t it your website or scam? So they promised to get food cooked and delivered ASAP. After 65 minutes later than my preferred delivery time the food was delivered. The compensation to acknowledge their fault was a $5 milk tea, and keep in mind if you want to pay on card they need to go back to the shop then call you for your card details.
Today after 3 months, I thought I’m gonna give Jymmanuel another chance - perhaps they have improved? Ordered the food via their website for pick up, upon arrival the boy at shop appeared “unknown of any order” and thought we were Uber eat! So the food is late AGAIN! After 10-15 mins waiting he brought the food out. Btw he said “we don’t supply bags anymore so we need to charge you for that”
No any expression to acknowledge their fault.
There are other Taiwanese eating places better than them in Melbourne. I won’t give Jymannuel a third chance. Their food doesn’t deserve my...

Their tofu pudding is the best!!!! I went to Jymmanuel pretty much for it. But I got too excited when it arrived at our table, and totally forgot about taking photos. That's how great it was and how much i enjoyed it!
Their crispy devil fried chicken was really good too. I really love that they had a variety of veggies in the bento. Yummy and healthy. We went there on the first day of the year of Ox, it was also before the 3rd wave lock down began. It was a great meal for a special day.

Read moreFantastic, authentic Taiwanese food.
Salt and pepper Taiwanese tofu was amazing. Expect a slightly unusual bouncy/chewy texture to the tofu itself. The exterior has a light, thin layer of crisp with the signature salty + spicy kick of chilli salt.
Their boxes are great too - most of the individual components like pork belly on rice, seasoned egg and fried chicken are executed really well. The only thing I would recommend against is the sweet and sour chicken. The flavour is great and the batter is crispy, but the proportions are off as there is too much batter.
Overall still giving 5 stars because everything else I’ve had here has been excellent.
Edit: Revisited and can say their food is consistently good. Angel fried chicken will be our go-to from now on - think five spice and crispy batter similar to the Taiwanese fried chicken you get at street stalls. Absolutely delicious.
Also tried the glutinous rice donuts which were amazing. Basically like deep fried mochi, not sweet on its own, but served with a deliciously rich, complex and thick brown...
