La Mexicana — Restaurant in Melbourne

La Mexicana is hands-down one of the best Mexican restaurants I’ve ever been to — and I don’t say that lightly. Every single time I’ve eaten here, the food has been fresh, flavorful, and absolutely packed with that authentic homemade taste you can’t fake.

Their chicken burritos are next-level. Perfectly seasoned, juicy chicken wrapped in a warm tortilla with just the right balance of rice, beans, and toppings — every bite is a little explosion of flavor. Honestly, they might be the most tasty chicken burritos you’ll ever have. I crave them constantly.

But it doesn’t stop there. The tacos at La Mexicana are unreal — made with real homemade corn tortillas that have that rustic, slightly chewy texture you can only get from freshly pressed masa. You can taste the difference instantly. Whether it’s carne asada, carnitas, or veggie fillings, everything is cooked to perfection and topped with love.

The vibe of the place is always warm and welcoming, like you’ve been invited into someone’s home for dinner. The staff are friendly, the service is fast, and you always leave...

Found this gem in our area and easy parking to access (I had crutches and moon boot) .

The setting has a good vibe, seating layouts simple and nice, clean and had a warm atmosphere.

Welcomed by staff. Simple ordering process either order at counter or via the QR scan code on the table. Portion sizes in my opinion generous.

We ordered Carntaritos to start - my fave! Spicy salty sweet and well mixed 😜 Tijuana style tacos chicken and steak Plato de carne asada steak , that cheese sauce was 🔥 and chimichanga 🌯 with a horchata and Jarrito pineapple 🍍 drink.

Try it for yourself, take into consideration the prices are high but in my opinion worth it.

I would go again def for the Carntaritos and try the rest of the menu! Left full...

Had the opportunity to visit this place today, and was very sad and disappointed of the service and attitude of owner lady who is the person that cook's the food we order over $200. Dollars of food.

I inform the staff that food was Not cooked properly and iwas sad it was served like this,, the response that igot was if I didn't like it don't come back!

My purpose was to inform and construct a positive outcome/result but she clearly said she's struggling and having hard time paying bills,and that's why her prices a so high, but sorry that's not our fault or customers fault.

So iwas forced to leave a honest review if you can't deal with business struggles and don't have customers service well shut the doors.
