Lamby's Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Located in a light industrial area it is a café obviously catering for nearby workers. And judging from the sparsity of indoor seating it is presumed that most of these workers are wanting takeaway. As I sat in my somewhat spartan surrounds I found it ironic that one of the staff was fastidious with respect to C19-related hygiene (obviously a product of the relentless fear bombardment Melburnians have been subjected to over the last 15 months) and yet appeared oblivious to presence of poorly flued gas, the odour of which was quite pronounced. :) My food and drink was, however, of fair quality, of reasonable price and was served...

I had to finally give a review. I go to so many breakfast shops and I can tell you hands down that this cafe has the best bacon n egg rolls in Australia. I’ve had so many here now and I’ve never had one slightly bad one. Obviously there is a recipe and system that is closely followed along with high quality items. Prices are fair as can be too. Ray crock would have turned this into a chain franchise for sure! Dim sim’s and potato cakes...

This place has gone from good to poor. Snide remarks made under her breath to colleague cooking at grill when I asked for no cheese on an egg and bacon roll, and an oat milk cappuccino. Gave them one more chance and now find they are serving stale bread rolls and reheating schnitzels in the deep fryer which almost cooked all the chicken out. Food handling I noticed was not to standard. Won’t be back...
