**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Le Capucin – Portsea's Slice of French Paradise!** **Sacrebleu!** This charming little gem transports you straight to the Left Bank from the moment you step inside. The aroma of freshly baked pastries and rich espresso hangs in the air like a love song to France. **The Coffee:** *Parfait!* Each sip of their velvety coffee is like a warm hug from a genuine French barista. Whether you take it short and strong or long and creamy, they've mastered the art. **The Pastries:** Prepare for a religious experience. The croissants shatter into a thousand buttery flakes at first bite - I suspect they're smuggled in from heaven each morning. Their pain au chocolat? So decadent it should come with a warning label. **The Ambience:** Sun-dappled tables, the gentle clink of china, and that effortless French elegance that makes you want to sit for hours with a good book and another café au lait. **Final Verdict:** Missing Le Capucin while in Portsea is like visiting Paris and skipping the Eiffel Tower - utterly unthinkable. **C'est magnifique!** 🇫🇷☕️🥐 *P.S. Try the apple pastries - it might just change your life.*

Amazing in all Areas !!! Le Capucin is an amazing place and I highly recommended to everyone. The small french influenced cafe on the Mornington Peninsula at the seaside area of Portsea is a fantastic place to come and visit when in the area. It has all areas covered with its great atmosphere, french bistro cafe influences, french/Jazz music and the great menu available each day with fresh pastries and the best coffee. The amazing service by the staff and owner here encompasses what a great find and place for everyone to try as soon as possible. This is definitely my favourite place to visit every time I am in the area. They also are able to create custom order items such as celebration cakes which I have ordered twice and everyone enjoyed on both occasions. Please ensure that you definitely make the effort to come and try this place out when in the Mornington area as it will not disappoint. Great work Kirsty and your overall team - fantastic place and really an overall experience that should not be missed.

Have been frequenting this little piece of paradise since opening. Always a pleasure being at Le Cap;the crew are always welcoming and accommodating. A tinge of sadness when the summer crew leave for their next adventure. The food is fresh, favourite being cauliflower cheese pie(have tried chicken and leek, beef bourguinon ) all delic, coffee with huge scoop of ice cream😍 and blue heaven was a touch of childhood nostalgia. Darn those calories. Loïc's in house chicken liver pate is a popular family request. There's a very enticing selection of French treats but you need to get in quick before the next delivery. *** Max Max Max *** Always kind, thoughful and pre-emptive. Le Cap are very fortunate to have such a valuable Manager. You made the best garlic bread. Ooooo la la, very French, very luscious, ooooozing butter goodness👌

Don't understand the good reviews for this place. The food was very expensive and quite mediocre. We were brought the wrong food and then when they brought out the remedied meal were told we would have to pay extra for it. The bacon was cheap cuts cooked sloppily and the avocado had chunks of pit in it. It's crazy busy because of the location but that's the only reason I could see.

To clarify, due to the reply:

When we ordered and asked for the addition to the meal we were advised it would cost extra and already paid the extra. We paid a lot for what we got because we know it's a public holiday and believe staff should be paid properly, (though the business owner should be doing this all the time, especially with such high turnover there) and wanted to try a place with good reviews.

I leave a lot of reviews good bad and in-between, and the experience here wasn't really worthy of more...
