As a local Greek my wife and I were excited when word got around Parkdale that a new Greek restaurant was opening a short walk from our house. Tonight we went along. It was a very hot night, about 33 degrees. On arrival the waitress asked if we’d like drinks and I asked for ice with my Coca-Cola. “Sorry, we don’t have any”. We ordered dolmades for an entree. Which arrived and were unfortunately not home made but from a can. Tasty but from a can. My wife ordered Prawn skewers which were delicious. I ordered the meatballs on mash and a Greek salad. Sadly the meatballs were absolutely tasteless and overcooked. The mash was swimming in olive oil. There was no way I could eat it. It had to be sent back. We were greeted by the owners and treated like family - giving recommendations and telling us the backstory of their shop and even their foods.
The food was well priced for us, and the drinks were paired nicely with the food - having authentic Greek alcohol and other cocktails to match with our foods.
