Very disappointed and feel misled by the high rating this place has. For entree we ordered the Croquettes and the Pizzette. The Croquets were strange and were served with a piece of coz lettuce drowned in mayo. The Pizzette was bland and arrived in one piece sliding all over the plate. It was difficult to cut it into pieces with our entree knives. To drink we tried to find anything non-alcoholic on the menu and all we saw was tea. When we asked, the waitress said they had a mango dacquari and that's it, so we got that and some water. The mango dacquari was just mango in a glass with some lime and cost $12 each (ridiculous price for non-alcoholic!) For main I got the beef cheeks and my partner got the rigatoni. The beef cheeks were dry and bland, the jus was watery and there was far too much of it, more like a soup than a jus. The best thing on the plate was the potato, and even that was under-seasoned. My partners rigatoni was boring and the sauce had no flavour at all. The chunks of beef brisket were chewy and overcooked. The mains got to us after we had been there for an hour. Our entrees took 45 mins to come out because they had run out of croquettes and needed to crumb some more. This cost more than double the amount of money we spent for lunch at Steam Restaurant and while we loved Steam, this experience was the exact opposite. Would never go back, would...
Read moreAttention Rolling Stones aficionados and lovers of beautiful food⊠put Loquat on your list if youâre ever in Sorrento! We visited for our anniversary dinner last night and it was nothing short of fabulous. Tracey and Paul gave us a warm welcome from the moment we arrived and looked after us beautifully the entire visit. Without giving too much away, the decor (particularly in the voodoo lounge) is next level and worth the visit alone just to see it. Rolling Stones fans take note! The wine list is extensive with lots of local beers and wines to choose from and the food was outstanding! There were many tempting options to choose from and we had some difficulty deciding, so each chose different things and shared. We had the prawn, calamari and zucchini fritti and the Gorgonzola soufflĂ© for entree and honestly couldnât fault a bite. We chose the beef papardelle and the pork belly for mains with greens to accompany and they were also fabulous. Our only regret is that we shouldnât have eaten too soon before visiting because we didnât have room for dessert. We did see some plated for other diners and they looked amazing. After we chilled for a bit in the voodoo lounge and chatted with the owners whilst admiring their extensive memorabilia collection. Thanks for the hospitality Tracey and Paul. Weâll be...
