The food is okay but too overpriced. The design and seating area is cute though. the staff are friendly and not bad But i wouldn't recomend it, because there is zero commuincation to the customers. They have different menus for different times of the day, which is fine but the times aren't written on the menu, and that's really annoying cause you would spend time choosing what to order then when ordering they would tell you that they no longer sell that and it is awkward cause there is a cue behind you and you need to implusively choose something else. No respect for the customers. It is not that hard to write the times on the menus. Also, another time i went ( i kept giving this place a chance but they honestly failed every time) although on google it says they are open, there was a sign on the door, saying that they are closed , again no respect for the customers or their time, if you want to have a break go ahead but it would have been polite to just let your customers know in advance. Oh and another time, their chef was away, so they had a completly different menu of things they "can do". But after we spent time choosing from the "old" and "dysfunctional" menu and went to the cashier, they said that we can't order that and have to choose from the menu with limited optons, again it doesn't hurt to hand out the menus as customers enter or have a sign. Also their hours suck, they open in really weird times. DON'T GO THERE THEY DON'T RESPECT YOU OR YOUR BUSNIESS
UPDATE- also this cafe needs better media management, best of example their reply ( have a look below), firstly ofcourse they are accusing me that i am mistaken, i am not i know i am giving a review for the right cafe, the one with only one bathroom and has brown tables with a sugar jar . Rule number 1 : always value your customers. It is so low of you to blame the customers except of confessing your mistake, plus you really expect me to not believe the sign i saw with my own eyes. Just because you don't think it happened, so it didn't happen, really? And you don't have just the one menu, you have atleast 2 different ones stuck near the entrance. It is disgusting that you don't accept criticism, but thank you for proving my point to every reader that this restuarant has horrible communication
down from 2 stars to 1 star ( zero if possible) so congrats you are on the right track...
Read moreI recently came here for brunch with some friends and enjoyed my experience. We happened to arrive just before 11am, so by the time we ordered, we could order from both the all day breakfast menu as well as the lunch menu.
I ordered the eggs benedict with house-made hash browns. It did not disappoint!
I also really liked how I could choose my own juice by picking 3 different fruits. I enjoyed a fresh orange and apple juice.
The staff were very friendly and accomodating to help us fit 5 people on a table. Quick service and great food.
You can clearly tell this place is loved by the locals as when we arrived, the whole outside dining area was filled with patrons, kids and even dogs.
Like the other reviews stated, you do need to line up and order your food rather than have a wait staff come and collect your order. But that is no biggie in my opinion.
Overall, a...
Read moreI wasn’t greeted when entering, staff were all behind the counter chatting. No menus outside, had to come in and ask for one. Food orders stopped at TWO pm (ridiculous) so don’t bother going to any effort to get there for a late-lunch meal. My remaining complaint is that it is way overpriced, a similar restaurant with gorgeous food in south morang was ten dollars for eggs on toast (an example). It’s over 18 dollars here for the same meal. Not a lot of sides to order on the menu, such as eggs or mushrooms etc. Food is very tasty and nicely presented. Lovely coffee. But I can get way more bang for my buck elsewhere. Edit: just checked out eggs on toast at my old cafe in Heidelberg. 8.5 dollars! How are magnolia’s...
