Very Disappointed – Poor Service and Food Quality

I’ve been a regular at Momo Central Brunswick and have always loved their big, delicious momos. But this recent visit with my family (5 adults and a baby) was a huge letdown.

We ordered to share: • Chicken Jhol Momo • Sebhale • Butter Chicken • 2 servings of Naan • Vegan Platter

Despite the restaurant being nearly empty – only one other table was occupied – we waited 45 minutes for our food. When we asked about the delay after 30 minutes, the waitress said the kitchen was busy. That would be understandable during peak hours, but there were no signs of takeaways or delivery drivers coming in either. Her tone was rude and dismissive, which felt very off-putting.

Eventually, the food began arriving piece by piece, brought mostly by kitchen staff. Only one naan came at first, and we had to remind them we ordered two. The butter chicken was chunky, gritty, and unpleasant, filled with what felt like peanut granules also completely unsuitable for my 2-year-old. The chicken itself was burnt. When I mentioned it, the kitchen staff dismissed my concern and said, “That’s how we make it here.”

We also had to keep asking for basic things like: • Side plates (we were only given 2 for a table of 5) • Cutlery 🍴 • Water (we were never offered a refill – we had to ask) • Serviettes (ended up getting them ourselves) Only one menu was provided for the whole table, which we didn’t notice at first, and we had to share it among all of us.

Overall, this visit was a real disappointing. ❌ Poor service ❌ Rude staff ❌ Subpar food ❌ Lack of basic hospitality
