Every bite of the sandwich was sooo good. I recently had the pleasure of trying the truffle mushroom sandwich at Nico's Sandwich, and it was an absolutely delicious experience. From the first bite, I knew I was in for a treat. The bread was perfectly toasted, with just the right amount of crunch and chewiness. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection, with a rich and earthy flavor that paired beautifully with the truffle oil. What really set this sandwich apart, however, was the addition of the cheese. It was melted to perfection and added a creamy and indulgent texture to the dish. The truffle oil was also used sparingly, but it was enough to give the sandwich a subtle but distinctive flavor that elevated the dish to a whole new level. In addition to the outstanding flavor, the sandwich was also generously portioned, making it a satisfying meal that left me feeling pleasantly full. The service at Nico's Sandwich was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. Overall, I would highly recommend the truffle mushroom sandwich at Nico's Sandwich to anyone who loves a good sandwich. With its expertly cooked ingredients and thoughtful flavor pairings, this sandwich is a standout dish that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning palate. So if you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, look no further than Nico's Sandwich!

Ordered the Schnitzel and Reuben. 8.5/10 and 6.5/10 respectively. Schnitzel was fantastically balanced, dill mayo slapped, would’ve liked more from the chimichurri. For me, the Reuben lacked that signature flavour, and felt extremely buttery in the mouth. Crunch was spectacular though. Service was good, friendly and quick. Atmosphere was good, but could’ve used some music outside. This place screams Brunswick- for better or worse. I’d come back if I was in the area, but wouldn’t trek in for it.

One of the OGs that led the sanga trend in Melbourne from a few years ago would be Nico's. While this outlet is not their first, the quality of the sandwiches is still great, and pricing reasonable (around $20 per sanga). The way they cut them in half is also perfectly done. The staff were also friendly and prompt w their services, and an extra point for the seven seeds coffee beans. Whether you like cold or hot sangas, you won't be disappointed at Nico's.

I've been coming here since it opened and have had many a great toastie here. But...

I cannot believe they got rid of the oxtail and mushroom truffle toasties.

The oxtail toastie was honestly the best toastie I've ever had.

You can get pastrami, Cubano and tuna toasties most places. That's not what made you guys special.

I feel like the new pastrami toastie is too small too. Four bites and I had eaten half. Way smaller than they were last year.

I've given five stars because I'd hate to bring down your rating after all the great breakies I've had there over the years, but please reconsider the menu change.

I honestly can't see myself returning otherwise - the other two toasties we tried (pastrami and kimchi) weren't half as good as your awesome oxtail and...

TLDR: you’d have to come a bit early to get a melt on a Saturday at Brunswick or Fitzroy. Probably worth a try but price makes you think it.

Went to nicos and the chicken to salad ratio was 40/60 (chicken/salad) when it should be the other way around. A salad sandwich with chicken not a chicken sandwich with salad. The nico’s deli is a pretty good all round sandwiches while the chicken schnitzel as previously mentioned was a bit disappointing. Although their popular, both times I went to Brunswick east and Fitzroy locations before lunch they were all sold out on most of their melts. Really wish they’d have more supply for...
