When we use to live in Saltwater Coast Estate people excitedly waited for this place to open. Now we come for swimming classes for our 4 year old daughter and we have visited this place 3 times since it opened, sadly never again. Coffee was nice but they absolutely do not cater for people who are vegans or prefer plant based food. Today I decided to order sourdough toast and add sides- ended up $34 meal so I couldn’t justify that and took out couple items and ended up paying $24 per meal- 1 for my daughter and one for myself. We chose tomatoes, avocado, hash brown and mushrooms. I thought by now they would have come up with something suited for people like us but it is clear we aren’t welcome there. Why there can’t be option to have same toast but with sides as a meal at reasonable cost. Charging $5 for avocados as a side when avo’s are in season, $4 for little bit tomatoes, or $5 for sautéed mushrooms is crazy if there is no meal option at all, if your only option are sides. Wait for food is also long and wasn’t happy with $1.10 card surcharge when ordering food through MRYUM and that’s the only option available. Day was beautiful and sunny however hard to find seating where sun isn’t in your face . Some shades would be nice. Anyway- we personally will not come back and I think anyone who is vegan can find better places with one or 2...
Read moreSo new management took over a while ago and they've been slowly improving every part of the cafe. Today we tried a full meal for brunch. Bacon, cheese & tomato crossaint, Gluten Free bacon & egg roll and a Cuban sandwich. One word from all three eaters... Wow! Out of all the cafes we've tried around point cook for the past 8yrs, the menu, flexibility of dietary requirements, flexibility of customisation and friendliness of staff, this cafe has just topped our list. Well done Viv and team!!! 😊🤤
Review from 3yrs ago: Really happy to see another local cafe. It's still new so hopefully I can change this to a 5 star soon. The coffee was well made. The food was okay. Nothing special (yet). The staff, fantastic! Biggest negative? The environment. Loud, clinical. They need to consider the acoustics. It's not a comfortable place to be with all hard surfaces. The large wall on the back should have some soft material/paintings/canvas/foam anything just to dampen the sound. Try not to put the music up too loud (don't wait till someone asks). Maybe even cushioned seats. Anyway, will see how it develops and hopefully a nicer place than what's...
Read moreWhere do I start! It’s been such a hot streak with dining because this cafe / restaurant has ticked all my boxes once again!
Quiet and tucked away in deep point cook just off point cook road is this beautiful cafe with wonderful welcoming staff.
I ordered a make your own breakfast, scrambled eggs on sourdough bread along with smoked salmon and this bar far was such beautiful creamy eggs! Had a cheesy aftertaste along with what I think is a herb that seasoned the plate. A wonderful compliment to the eggs! Not much to say about simple scrambled eggs but I want to highlight them noticeably better! Their observant nature lead to them bringing my partner a new pair of eggs after his poached eggs came out every so slightly over done.
He had no problem about it but it seemed they have noticed. Such hospitality!
The waitress who took care of us, Alex! (Went back to ask and again AMAZING service and food’), was a beautiful woman! Such a refreshing personality! Beautiful to interact with, helped us with a bee too.!
Nonetheless, this cafe needs more traction , it’s...
