Fail safe for service and food on top of it it comes with good location and aesthetics. Great if you need a venue for an event or just to drop in for a lovely meal.

I was there for a private family gathering where the food was pre-arranged. When I asked about the gluten-free options I discovered that during the booking they forgot about the gluten-free vegetarian. Been there a million times, it happens, so I was ready to just have loads of chips for the evening. I mean, fair enough, it wasn’t what was arranged in advance, can’t expect them to drop everything and cater me while they’re dealing with a large group already, right?. Well, in no uncertain terms I was told they would take care of me, and dear me they did! Above and beyond. Some veg sarnies, falafel, hummus with a side of salad and they made sure I got the fruit platter on my table so I could have some dessert. Unlike in many other places, I was never made to feel like it was an inconvenience or extra work for them.

After a rough day that was going to be long, they cared and made sure I was well fed, with plenty of tasty food. We don’t live in the area, but next time we are I know where I’ll drop in to enjoy a meal....

Oynx is one of the best places I’ve visited in recent times. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the owner, who is genuinely kind and friendly. The ambiance is clean, well-maintained, and creates a very comfortable atmosphere.

The staff are equally friendly and helpful, making the overall experience even better. I tried the fried rice with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious—cooked perfectly to suit my preferences. The chef did a fantastic job, and the dish was definitely worth the price.

I had a special moment of kindness at this place today. Having had a bit of a bad day and needing change, I dropped in to buy a chai to break my fifty. The guy who served me was personable, funny and clearly cared about his beverages- asking if I was ok with him letting the chai steep for a while for best effect (hell yes!). He gave me a bigger serve and a free bottled water to send me on my way.
