Pizza, Pasta, Fish & Chips, they do it all! Stumbled across this place when I searched 'Fish and Chips' which showed up on a review, and questioned why a Pizza Shop showed. They have 1 option for Fish and Chips, and boy was that some of the best fish I've ever had, beating out specialty fish and chips shops. Perfectly seasoned with a crispy batter, juicy and moist, cooked to perfection. The Pizzas were great as well, really rated the IL BOSCO, the chicken and mushroom pairs very nicely with the creamy camembert, and who doesn't like sweet sundried tomatos? 👌 For Pasta, we went with the Salmon and was delivered with a rich creamy. Had large chunks of salmon (maybe smoked?), a little salty and heavy but very nice to share between. Lastly we grabbed some home made Tiramisu, which to no surprise was also awesome and had the right amount of coffee note to it. The bloke who served us was very friendly and provided great servicing bringing out the food to the outside dining area with disposable cutlery and even brought serving share trays too. If I was local, I'd be hitting up this shop all the time.

The pizza is not too bad. I've had better and I've had worse. Their large is only 12" when a large should be 14" (where I'm from). A Large Margherita set me back $20 but I know they up charge because they can in this area. The staff member (male) was friendly. The pizza was surprisingly thin for a pan pizza. Usually a pizza this thin is baked in wood-fired oven (think Neopolitan). This was definitely not Neopolitan-style though. I also ordered a single scoop of chocolate gelato. I wasn't jumping over the moon but it was good. I'm not from the area but if I happen to be hungry and passing this place, I would still stop by for a bite. And as others have mentioned, the single gelato scoop was pretty small compared to other places.

Pleasant pizza in Safety Beach. Frequent this place often as it’s just around the corner and the food is always pretty decent for the price point. The shopfront has definitely had a facelift in the last couple years with some lovely bright art! Definitely a cool feature and draws you in. Staff are usually really pleasant and kind to order from. Delivery however can be a bit of a nightmare during peak periods. Make sure to order ahead during the summer months!! Can get very busy. Pizzas are well sized for the price although the large is quite small for the price. They always welcome any requests and changes and always get orders correct. The kinder gelato is lovely as well! Keep up the good work!

BEWARE. THEY BLAME YOU FOR THEIR MISTAKES. In response to their inaccurate reply to my review...They are lovely until you have a problem. Then they turn on you. No remedy or apology offered, nor any follow up after hanging up on me. Yet apparently its still my fault. And an absolute joke saying i was aggressive. Laughable after the way i was treated by their staff. I never requested cash, I requested a refund by any means available that didn't involve me spending my night chasing menulog for a refund. WAS NO OPTION to 'simply press cancel' as you guys had already accepted order, hence the whole problem! Still waiting on refund to be processed, will take 5-7 business days, so no dinner for us tonight. They take no responsibility for their actions... After being a loyal customer for the past several years, I have just been laughed at and hung up on by the manager Daniel. I placed my regular order through menulog and they accepted it. An hour later they called to say they had run out. I said that's no problem, just cancel the order and refund me, since it's their mistake. That's when they turned nasty and refused to refund my money. Instead I had to spend hours back and forth with menulog trying to convince them I didn't get my order. When I tried to explain the unfairness of this to the store, Daniel just kept laughing with the person next to him, calling me Darl in a condescending way and then hung up on me aggressively. I shudder to think of the money we have spent at this place over the years, and now to be treated in this way after all that loyalty, for something that is clearly their mistake. They have lost a whole family of very loyal customers. They should be ashamed of themselves, especially Daniel...

Pizza by the Bay – Come for the Burgers, Stay Because You Already Paid for the Pizza

Pizza by the Bay is a bit of a mixed bag — like ordering a mystery box and finding half a treasure and half a soggy sock.

Let’s start with the pizza: overpriced and underwhelming. I’ve had frozen pizzas that put up more of a fight. The crust is meh, the toppings feel like they were applied by someone holding a grudge, and the whole thing just doesn’t justify the price tag. You’ll eat it, sure, but you’ll also question your life choices while doing it.

Customer service? Let’s just say it’s not winning any awards. You’ll get your food… eventually… probably. Smiles are rare, and warmth seems to be reserved strictly for the oven.

BUT — and here’s the twist — their burgers are excellent. Like, surprisingly great. Juicy, full of flavour, and the kind of thing that makes you say, “Wait… should I just never order the pizza again?” Also, their fish and chips are solid — crispy, tasty, and actually cooked with care. The only downside is there are no real budget options, so bring your wallet and maybe a backup wallet just in case.

In short: skip the pizza, grab a burger, and you might just walk away happy. Three stars for the food that does hit the mark — and the hope they one day rename the place “Burgers...
