Hey there, there is a restaurant I decided to give you heads up that I had right now, My mother couldn’t sit on the chair in front of the entrance because it wasn’t comfortable for her, as she is elderly. So we decided to sit on an empty chair nearby while waiting for our table to be ready. One of the staff members approached us and started speaking to me very badly , even though I explained that we were just waiting for our table to be prepared. Then, with a very unpleasant tone, they made my mother stand up. She suffers from leg pain and had to walk back across the restaurant, which was very difficult for her. We were treated in a very disrespectful manner, and I truly did not expect such behavior towards a customer. I hope no other customers are treated this way, because this was neither humane nor respectful. I wish we hadn’t gone to this restaurant.

Hi, thank you for your response.

Unfortunately I can’t answer your respond so I added my response here.

Firstly, I’d like to remind you that in my review I mentioned I was waiting to take away my coffee with my 80-year-old mother. I didn’t have a booking and was just waiting to grab my coffee and leave.

The chairs in front of your restaurant are very uncomfortable for elderly people, so I simply moved my mother to a spot where we could wait for 5 minutes—or just until my coffee was ready. I had no intention of staying in the restaurant.

With the way we were treated—especially my elderly mother—we definitely wouldn’t have stayed anyway.

I had hoped you would read my review more carefully and show more care and respect for...

What an absolutely breathtaking experience. I booked the 4 course dinner at Tarrawarra Estate as a surprise for my boyfriend’s birthday, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From start to finish, we were both just blown away by the service, the atmosphere, the building, the interiors and, of course, the food and wine!! The appetisers upon arrival, along with the focaccia, were both just divine. The trout consommé was so beautifully fresh and the perfect way to begin the amazing food journey that was to follow. We were both so amazed the richness and complexity of flavours in the mushroom cavatelli, but the highlight for us was the duck. You know a dish is perfect when you both sit in silence just enjoying it without needing any words. I absolutely loved the macadamia tart and my partner had the selection of cheeses which he thoroughly enjoyed. A beautiful touch was the gorgeous little birthday cake that was bought over at the end, which was such a lovely way to end an already superb evening. We were also lucky enough to have the head chef, Joel, come over to our table and speak with us which gave us the opportunity to thank him for creating such amazing food. To make it even more special, we were told that this was the first dinner they were hosting as the 4 courses, and we were one of the first to book. Thank you for such a magical evening and we hope you continue the 4 course dinners so that others can experience...

TarraWarra never fails to deliver. Beautiful grounds, great wines and an Art Gallery - what more could you want? I couldn't think of a better place to take visitors to Melbourne. You can choose your own adventure - high end dining, relaxed snacks, wine tasting, art gallery or just taking in the views.

It was our first time eating in the restaurant and it lived up to the hype and hat. It's a multi course set menu and I chose the paired drinks menu which was worth it. Vegetarians are well catered for and there was a bit of flexibility/options where there were also vegetarian dishes on the main menu. Each dish was a delight, beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The dishes were obviously thoughtfully put together and I loved the amazing mix of textures and flavours each bite delivered, especially the duck. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

If you're looking for something more relaxed, then the outdoor area under the peppercorn trees with it's beautiful views is the perfect place to sit, taste some wines and eat from the cellar menu. I didn't check the menu this visit but typically it's snacks or salads, great for a light lunch. We had a post lunch drink out here and soaked in the sun, views and the birds flitting around the trees.

Don't forget to check out the gallery. It does cost to see the exhibitions (there are some deals on a Wednesday) but they are usually...

A Costly Letdown Expectations were high for this birthday celebration, but the experience was a masterclass in disappointment. While the chef's technical execution on the plate was evident, the restaurant fails on the fundamentals that define good dining experience. The core issues are unforgivable at this price point: · The Wagyu Upgrade Scam: I paid a $30 premium for a Wagyu steak that was riddled with unchewable tendon. This is a fundamental failure in butchery and ingredient selection. Their solution? A $30 refund that merely corrected their own error, not the ruined course. · Thoughtless "Celebration": The birthday cake we ordered was unceremoniously presented in a cling wrap (with a plate inside) for take-home. Rushed & Rude Service: The meal was capped by the ultimate sign of indifference: the bill was placed on our table without being requested. This is not relaxed Melbourne dining; it is being told your time is up. Excellent cooking is rendered meaningless by poor product selection and amateurish service. You are paying a premium for an experience that is, at best, deeply flawed. Save your money and your celebrations. Not recommended.

We went to TarraWarra Estate for my birthday 2 course lunch special. Food was tasty. Estate wine choices pinot noir, Chardonnay and Merlot were exceptional. Only down fall is that the portion size was quite small, which left us feeling hungry. Both entrees and main were vegetarian and no protein or seafood offer in either of the dishes. I understand this is chefs choice of the day but a choice in the main at least would have been good. Service was ok. We were running late, we called to apolygise ahead of time, when we arrived we had our child whom I didn't book for as I thought bookings included $60 per head, and technically she wasn't eating. There was no option to book for a child whom wasnt dining. The lady who looked after us seemed somewhat annoyed at us, and although smiling her service level wasn't great. She didn't ask if we had any allergies, there was no warmth. She was nice enough though but I wouldn't say customer service level wasn't great. Would I go back? Probably not. I've had some exceptional service and food at other wineries.
