The food and service were below average. Except for the lady 'manager' who smiled from the moment we walked in to the end, other staff members had no smiles or facial expressions at all. We expected the fish head noodles to be at least average for a restaurant of this size and price. Unfortunately, as soon as the waiter arrived with the bowl of fish head noodles, the fishy smell had already spread to the table. I had to smell the fish three times to ensure that it wasn't off. It turned out that they didn't clean the gills and other non-belonging parts properly. You can see from the last photo (no, they are not fish skin). The soup base wasn't authentic either. Overall, the fish head noodle was below average. Their Szechuan Chilli Sauce Chicken 辣子雞 was even worse. They should have renamed the dish to Deep Fried Chilli Chicken Winglets 油炸辣椒雞翼 to be more accurate. Although the dish had most of the correct ingredients for the 辣子雞, the winglets were too big, they weren't suitable for this dish, and the taste and aroma didn't permeate the chicken wings, making the chicken less tasty than it should have been. The price they charged ($28.80) for this dish compared to the few dollars' worth of low-cost ingredients used just didn't add up. Very disappointed with the whole...
Read moreAbsolute rubbish! Our Saturday dinner turned into a total disaster! Quality of dishes: we were told that we had to wait for 35min if we want to have the roasted duck and that was only 6pm, I mean..what kind of Cantonese restaurant it is that only have a couple of roasted ducks for their dinner service?! Then we have to fallback to pick crispy pork and sausage, but even the crispy pork was slightly undercooked and tasted fatty. The portion they give for the mixed platter is way under compared to if ordering by weight of the same value. We also ordered another dish; the fish fragrant eggplant pot, I don’t think the cook knows how to do the fish fragrant flavour properly and it tasted so bland! And again, over priced! A botched-up dish that contains only eggplants worths $30! Lastly, the went on noodle soup was also tasteless.
Service: the waiter had us sat and left without bringing us the cutlery, water and cup! Note that these were to not self serve. The Chinese bbq platter was brought in without the sauces, I had to remind the waitress.
Last but not least, they shamelessly put the 10% weekend surcharge to the bill! Btw, you know who put my bill thru at the register? - the...

Chicken fried rice generally comes with pineapple and we asked for no pineapple.. Tasty house was very accommodating and made our fried rice without it.
It was very flavorful even without pineapple.. yummy.. not gluggy.. nice n authentic n flavorful.. must try.. for kids.
And the prawns... OMG they had tempura like crispy coating.. n massive prawns inside.. they also had an oat n curry leaves topping.. best crispy juicy prawns EVER.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND ALL THE THREE DISHES.
Will definitely visit again and review their spicy dishes...
