Pho Boy Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

What a HORRIBLE staff member!!!!! I asked for a vegan tofu baguette and specifically said NO mayonnaise, NO chilli, NO pate. As I watched the lady make it I assumed it wasn’t my order as it was done with ALL the things I asked not to put in it. Not only that but she dropped tofu in the meat dish in the Bain Marie and I watched one of the guys put it back in the tofu!!!!!! Seriously!!!!!! When I said that couldn’t be mine, he raised his voice, told me he washed the tofu (what the hell!!!! I watched him toss it straight from the meat to the tofu…… He said “just take it, it’s what you ordered!” As a very long time vegan I could not be more offended and asked for my money back. He made such a scene, slammed my money on the bench and waved his hand at me telling me to leave. If I could give ZERO stars I would. What a disgraceful man! I can only hope that he doesn’t represent someone’s business. I would never trust their food to not be cross contaminated now that I’ve seen this! On face value, the guy who served us seemed polite and all but despite this he was incredibly unhelpful. We wanted to order a cold roll for my toddler son, so I made a simple request and asked if they could put it into a small bowl instead of the paper bag so he doesn't make so much mess while eating. The guy proceeded to tell me they don't have bowls for that even though they're sitting on the counter top and I pointed to them, he still refused and insisted we just use the paper bag. Anyway, we moved past it and I just accepted it would have to be in the paper bag. The guy ended up not even putting our order through correctly as he just assumed we didn't want the cold roll so we only got charged for the banh mi not realising as my husband paid. Really poor communication and unwilling to oblige simple requests. Not a family friendly place for people with small kids. Definitely don't recommend and will not...

How would u put it.... we were blessed to have such a fantastic restaurant locally. We have made this our favourite spot to disappear too and find it very hard to walk past without grabbing a Pho. We have tried most of the menu from the Bah mi Rolls down to the Freshly hand made rice paper rolls!!! They I would consider to be the best I have had but the best is there Pho... the broth is fresh clear and full of flavours. It compliments the cuisine In which it comes from. The meat is always cut perfectly thin and there is always an abundance. The place is always clean and well managed and the staff are always welcoming and humble.

Highly recommended.... and well deserved ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ looking forward to spending more time in this small...
