Here comes that one scathing reviewer, again. I have had food from here before and now the dust has settled. I am focusing on what matters, the food. Very commercialized. Overpriced. You can get better burgers elsewhere for less. They have the food prepared like it's purely transactional and ready to go international, who cares about health and taste? not good.
Still in a bit of a shock with how average the food is, with how expensive it is to get it(delivery they said is a 30% markup but that's no excuse for the lack of quality ingredients). THe potato cakes are not great, you're better off binning it, this is something that looks and tastes like a potato cake you can buy from a supermarket, doesn't give me any in-house impression, facade, a phony. Did they microwave it? They also didn't listen to specific order instructions unless you go in person. Wouldn't recommend unless you love throwing money at people for a bone stock commercial taste, this place is now officially the Gloria jeans of burgers. If you disagree, here's an exercise: order some basic bugers and tell me it's anything special or worth raving about at that high a price. Also my beef patty was clearly damn near pink n raw in the middle, must be the ol' trick of marketing selling us a "juicy beef patty". living life on the edge by ordering miscellaneous undercooked beef from here. the distinct lack of lettuce and increasingly thin cheese slices is interesting, it's like they're cutting every corner to the bare minimum. as for the bun bread it's the same skimping story, though I prefer less carbs in my meals, so I lucked out there
atmosphere is 3.5 stars generally not too shabby but the place is windy as all f$$$k and you can be asked to sit outside, which is interesting customer...
Read moreJust picked up a burger and chips. Sadly the kitchen duty seems to have been in a rush to complete the order. Said it would take 10 mins to be ready, but I was at FW in 4 mins as thats how close I was to the address. The burger was ready when I walked up to the counter. The burger patty not cooked, just tasted like as if it was only thawed on the grill plate without properly cooked and the chips at bottom hardly had any salt. Have tasted way better on previous occasions. Guess I now need to see who’s on kitchen duty before ordering, in case I decide to patronise again. Disappointed !! ☹️
Since, writing this feedback I have had the Restaurant owner reaching out and addressing my concern. I have to say that deserves acknowledging their efforts and updating this feedback. For that I would like to give them 5⭐️ as that proves they do value their customers, how they do business, and appreciate and are open to fixing up any unfortunate mishaps. As such I am updating this review, as it should not only be about raising a negative but should also be about recognising and acknowledging the positive of their efforts and how they go about in dealing with such matters!...
Read moreDid Melbourne really need another burger joint? Probably not, but I'm glad it's here. We ate here on Saturday afternoon in the ambience of Breasides factory area enjoying the winter sun, but honestly it was quite nice. The shop was previously your run of the mill factory tuck shop until 5 months ago they changed into more of a burger store. But let's not waste anymore time, how was the burger? The meat was good and cooked well, all ingredients appeared fresh and the bun was fresh and not too invasive to the overall burger. Also had a side of chips and onion rings. The onion rings were great, not overcooked and not greasy. As for the chips they were probably the weakest part of the meal, lacking any flavour and still soft they just didn't have that crunch. But if all that wasn't enough the value was the real clincher, we fed 2 people for $35 and that got us 2 burgers, 2 sides of chips, 2 cans of drinks and some onion rings. It was worth every dollar and then some. Definitely worth a visit if you like burgers and like supporting some very...
