Came here on Saturday just before 4pm and there was only one occupied table of about 5 ppl. The staff didn't seem ready for us which is fair enough since it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner. He quickly set a table up for us, a family of 5. He was really friendly and courteous.
We ordered a kids Hawaiian pizza, BBQ pulled pork pizza, carbonara and pulled pork panini. The food came about 10 mins later which was a longer wait than normal but again, maybe they were not ready for customers. It was worth the wait because we all enjoyed our dishes. The pizzas were juicy, the crust crispy yet soft. The carbonara was really rich, generous amount of bacon. Panini was soft and juicy, the filling was generous too.
It seems they've been here over a year but only just noticed them. I certainly will be back to try the coffee and caramel slice.
The place is quite small though, perhaps can hold 15-20 ppl. Hopefully on warmer days they can put tables outside since the footpath has been widen recently. The decor...
Read moreTHE best pizzas in the area for sure. Woodfired is the only way to have pizzas! Have had Spicy prawn, Greek lamb, Pepperoni, Mexican and Vegetarian (which, in my opinion, tastes better without the pumpkin) have all been absolutely outstanding and with very generous toppings in the most balanced way.
The staff is extremely polite and accommodating of any changes we ask to the orders.
Now they do seem to fall behind a lot, especially on Thursday, Fri & Sat evenings when it comes to ready times for takeaway. But honestly, I don't hold it against them as they get a ridiculous amount of takeaway orders for a small place with VERY limited staff while also serving eat-in customers. I did wait a few times an additional 10-20 minutes past their suggested ready times, on their busy days. But, I've never been upset about it ( and I'm usually quick to anger) as the wait has always been worth it! If concerned about delays, then trying them Monday - Wednesday would be...
Read moreWow!! Who would have known that tucked away in a little suburban street of Boronia you would find a true foodie gem in The Flavour Gallery. On a quiet mid week evening we dined ordering 2 pizzas and they were simply 2 of the best Wood Fire Oven Pizzas we've ever eaten in Melbourne. The dough was Neapolitan style perfection and cooked at the right temperature. The sauce was authentic and the rest of the toppings fresh and flavoursome. The menu holds many other dishes that I'm keen to try in the next dozen or so visits. Highly recommended. UPDATE Didn't wait too long for the next visit so this time it was breakfast. Awesome, standing ovation food. Fresh bread, fresh produce, beautifully cooked and presented. I would give...
