Came from the Mornington Peninsula for a day trip and stopped at The Patch Store for lunch after many recommendations from local friends living in the Hills. I had the Cauliflower, Potato & Cheese Pie & a small side of chips and oh my! I was not disappointed. The pie was the best I've ever tasted & it was huge! And the salad..the dressing was absolutely divine. My friend had the waffles, again, a very generous serving. She was also not disappointed & said they were delicious. We struggled to finish the lot, but I wasn't leaving until I devoured every last piece of that cheesey deliciousness. Basically rolled out the door with bellies full. Had to undo the jeans & let the gut free. The service was great, staff were friendly & welcoming & the food was to die for. What a little gem of a store. Cannot wait to come back. Next time I'll be wearing pants with an elastic waist. Highly recommend The...

Omg - this local shop is amazing, staying in the Patch with family and are lucky enough to have this wonderful store just down the road🙌🏻, staff are lovely and attentive, happy to engage the time of day with customers 🫶🏼, great coffee, take away & dine in and don’t get me started on the food 😋 bacon & egg rolls for lunch all followed by amazing homemade cakes cake (where everyone is catered for - vegan, df , gf).If I ever get to meet the cook I might just have to ask her/ him to marry me ( just be aware food drinks stop at 2:30pm, Monday to Friday and Saturday at 2 pm) although the post office is open later. Luckily I don’t live here all year round or I would be 10x my size🤦🏼‍♀️as once you have tried the food & coffee and met the wonderful staff you will return 😍, daily...

"Best hidden little gem in the hill". This is what should be said but the place always has people in it so maybe it's not so secret anymore. I was recommended by a customer I was doing some work for to come here for lunch and boy o boy was I not disappointed. The lamb roll was amazing, nice crisp roll, plenty of coleslaw and lovely juicy lamb. The sausage roll was as big as my head and was soft on the inside whilst the pastry crumbled with every bite. All that followed off with a big mug of tea made for a struggle to get back to work in the afternoon. Nice clean place, lovely staff who make you feel at home even if it's your first visit. Well worth...

Family run business with a touch of something special. This is a great spot for a coffee and a snack and to admire the soft greenery of The Patch. This place has an unpretentious relaxed atmosphere and the staff and locals are genuine and friendly. The vanilla slices are something special, it's like they are straight from Paris. Plus the smokey BBQ and coleslaw sliders (pulled pork especially) are supremely tasty. Smashed peas on toast (pictured) is a winner 🏆

Glad we followed the reviews and came here after our forest walk, lovely food choices, including some vegetarian and vegan, and fabulous cakes and slices. The Halloween specials were a nice touch too. Great coffee and chai, lovely friendly staff, beautiful fresh rhododendron blooms on the table. And opposite the Fairy Tree! Will come again next time we are visiting Victoria/Melbourne!

Only an hour away from Melbourne but even if it was three hours away - still worth the trip. Seems like a meeting spot for locals, travelers and visitors and the food is just amazing. Enjoyed the bulk burger and the pulled beef roll. 💥💥💥💥💥for both! The cappuccino was delicious too and in combination with the cinnamon scrolls - unbeatable. Will be visiting again!
