The hot food we had was bland and a poor selection of cakes. But the customer service was appalling. We were served by the younger of the two women and her attitude was unwelcoming and she treated us like we were an inconvenience to serve and like she would rather watch paint dry than be there herself. After serving us she just turned away and walked off, no thank you, bye, have a nice day. I actually stood there for a second gobsmacked and said to her disappearing back that she had appalling manners. The older lady who was serving someone else was deadpan and looked no better at serving customers. I purchased a beautiful custom cake and smash cake for my daughter’s first birthday yesterday. The cake was absolutely beautiful. The attention to detail was next level! It added something truely special to my daughter’s day and I’ll cherish all the memories and photos. Ordered 2 lovely steak & mushroom pies but what let the lunch down was the worst vanilla slice I've ever had (and I would have one in every town I go through). The vanilla slice didn't have custard - it was like instant pudding with loads of gelatine. It had absolutely no flavour 😕. Vanilla slice is meant to have 'vanilla' & made with fresh silky custard (& some with cream). The base & top were like a soggy biscute texture with coconut sprinkled on top.
