Milang Pier Hotel — Restaurant in Milang

Some of the slowest service ever to order food. That was just the start. Come with a group of 16. Pre warned at 10.15am for arrival at 12.30 to 12.45. There was previous contact to say a our group was intending to come. Menu was very limited & to top things off half way through our group ordering they were running out of selections. Plus, to add insult there was a 10% surcharge on Sundays. That would be acceptable if the service, menu selection & food were up scratch. One of our group didn't even get their meal because they ran out. They did offer another meal option but it had been so long they asked for there money back. Extremely disappointed. On the plus side you do get a few of the water & the beer is cold...

Bring your sense of humour and you will appreciate this bloke. He definitely has character. The food was fresh, tasty and great value. Compliments to the chef!!! Nice spot with a view of Lake Alexandrina The toilets were clean and didn’t smell like toilets. Pictured are the three meals we ordered for a total of $60. Mega chicken parmy with chips, regular chicken parmy with chips and salad and a rather large squid schnitzel with chips, vegetables and aioli sauce. We will definitely be coming here again on a Sunday for lunch and would highly recommend giving this great little country pub a go....

As a Milang resident, I find myself in the Pier Hotel at least a couple of times a week. Always a cheery welcome, a kind smile & excellent service. A good pub with great food, local wines and a happy crowd in the bar. Not much more a local pub needs really. Since writing this review there have been some changes. The owners have changed twice but the operators of the hotel have maintained a standard. Recently new operator, Grant, and staff took over. We have dined there and enjoyed our meals. I think it augurs well...
