I know 3 seems harsh. It is really. But the place has opportunities that have boringly been left unexplored. Limited Gluten Free menu is on offer - reduced further for me due to other dietary issues. Nice-ish dining (that would make a useful small capacity nightclub space each weekend or less frequently) with those not-so-novel shiny dark old square Brown wood look laminate tables that wobble a lot - the typical ones that are reused (forever?) state wide. Separate Gaming Room, Function Room (Poker), Sports Bar with Betting, Pool, Pinball, small reception lounge with access to a bar extension, disused old small Beer Garden and drive through Bottle Shop. I know what I would do to it. It has NEVER done Continental Breakfasts or aligned lunch & dinner meals for the Hotel NEXT DOOR (as far as I know). If you walk out the back door of the "Titanic: like dining bistro you can SEE the Hotel JUST TO THE RIGHT! Has never included meals for the...
Read morewe ordered at 7pm, entree of JUST cheesy garlic bread came out at 7:45 and it was disgustingly drenched in oil and then finally our meals came out at 7:50. I ordered garlic prawns with garlic sauce on the side and a gravy. The ‘gravy’ was full to the brim of the bowl and the garlic sauce was less than 1/2 full. The gravy was disgusting, it looked like old oil that had, had all sorts of things cooked in it and then served. It was NOT gravy in the slightest. Literally disgusting, there only had been 4 customers be ore us that ordered and we sat for an hour after there were no orders. I wish I could show the picture of the gravy to show how appalling it was. Another person on the table order a ‘Double’ jack burger and someone else a single and the single came out and looked great and the double came out with no chicken on it and just bread, cheese and onion rings. How do you forget to put the chicken on a...
Read moreI made the mistake of ordering the schnitzel again under the senior's menu, and it was as bad if not worse than the last time I ordered it. The last time I had it, the schnitzel was a 1/4 of a chicken breast and this time it was the same size. Both times it was burnt and dry..... probably because it was so small. I complained last time and was told because it came under 'senior's' that I will only get 1/2 a chicken breast (which I might add is not the size of a schnitzel), and it was not 1/2, but a 1/4. Leggies kitchen is being very disrespectful toward seniors and should be ashamed for serving such a small portion. I will never order schnitzel from Leggies again, as they have not changed their portion size and in future will only go to Turfside who know how to portion their sizes and treat 'seniors' or lunch time patrons with respect. I will also advise friends to be aware of...
