OMG! Never in my life have I experienced a Maccas as slow as this place. What on earth is going on here? We were visiting from Mackay for football and stopped to grab lunch at 1.30pm. All the reviews are true, it took more than 20 minutes for us to get our food. We ordered on the app then get to the drive through, there was no one in front of us, then after saying they couldnât see our order finally came back and said yes we have it and then walked avay from the window and we sat there and sat there and sat there. It was like there was no one even working there. No âcan you go you the waiting bayâ or anything. We literally sat in the drive through waiting for our order at the front of the queue for 25 minutes. No one came and said anything to us. We get our food, they did get the order correct but everything was cold! Iâm so confused at what we were waiting for. We honestly thought they must have been cooking everything from scratch! Also no napkins!! Why Maccas? WHY????? We pay a premium for the food and you just donât even care about what...
Read moreAll I wanted was a Sunday icecream for my Daughter, felt like I had to defeat video game bosses so I could lever up to the round. They have 2 speaker lanes in the drive-thru but only the other lane was getting served, waited for 4 cars in the other lane to get served before I decided that there must be a problem with the lane I was in so I just drove to the window to make an order for a Sunday. Gave my order than headed to the pickup window. The girl gave me a flurry instead, so I told her that I ordered a Sunday. She gave me a confused look, looked at her screen and said " but it says flurry on the order?". I said that's great but I did not order that, I asked for Sunday, she did the same thing and the conversation went back and forth about 6 times before my daughter just forget it I will eat the flurry. Sad thing is that for Forest Lake Maccas, this probably better service than...
Read moreStandard service for a franchise, order was delivered quickly, but it wasn't a busy time. Hilarious poster at the front counter.
The front door seemed to confuse some people who tried to push the door open, instead of using the door handle to pull it open. Surprisingly, one person gave up after a single attempt and went back to her car, presumably to die of hunger.
Native wildlife have all twigged that there is food to had if they beg, so a small flock of birds (15+) approached us in a friendly chirpy huddle, only to scoot off elsewhere once they realised we had no food and were too big to overpower. Maybe they'd found that girl huddled in her car, and decided to do a stake out.
Whilst I did not feel intimidated, I will be keeping a cheeseburger in my pocket for any dark alleys I may have to cross, because you can't be too careful...
