"Not" so good things at a Sunday Brunch: Busy, but not packed/plenty of staff just disorganised and slow in places
Coffees and food ordered as soon as we sat down - food came out relatively quickly, waiter asked if we're waiting on anything else - "Coffees?" "They’re coming". But they didn't appear until after we'd finished meal?
Food : 1x dish of Korean Chilli eggs with extra sides of Bacon, avo, Tomato & Hash browns. Not great, not terrible, just lacking in any distinct "chilli" or Korean flavour. We asked waiter if Hash brown were frozen or house made - "no idea, sorry?" Really? How hard is it to know this ...or ask someone? NB they were commercial frozen ones. 1x Hot Chocolate 1x Extra shot flat white (came as a long macc in à glass not a cup) Hot choc was weak and milk, coffee was OK, just not what I ordered and slow in coming. Online booking via Quandoo : This option popped up in Google maps so we availed ourselves of it and booked à table for two for the time around the ETA from Google. E-mail confirmed booking time/date/pax etc. When we arrived, at scheduled time, no booking? Apparently, their hand written paper list of bookings is only updated the night before service...? Way to go with technology guys! On the upside they did seat us relatively quickly,
Total cost was $45.50 + Credit Card surcharge (which was not noticeably disclosed in advance anywhere that I saw) Value for money 2/5 Service: friendly but inefficient 3/5 Result: Probably wont go out of our way to try this place again, although it looks like they have plenty of profitable business so they...
Read moreAfter a fabulous and much needed few days mini beach break in Cottesloe, we were on our way back home, about 45 minutes away, when we decided to seek out a good coffee! And I'm pleased to say we stumbled upon Good Times, via Google, of course! Really great coffee, ambience, food, and service. The staff were fantastic! We were there on Tuesday morning, 14th Nov, along with a few locals who clearly knew where to go... Beautiful day, nice breeze, so we sat outside! Good Times has a really understated and laid-back vibe, worth going out of your way for. While it's not anywhere near where we live, we'll most definitely be back, and what's more, would go "out of our way" to get there! Didn't have our little dog with us, but a couple of others had theirs outside! Very well behaved (owners and dogs), nice, friendly people together with their companions! Will hopefully bring Willow with us next time.. It was our first visit, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending it. I might add I do not know, nor have any connection with the owners or any of the staff. It's simply a great place and we loved it!! Well...
Read morePrice (4/5) Average pricing for breakfast or brunch. Somewhere around 10-30 depending on your choice. For the chicken and waffles, it’s 24. Pancakes full stake is about 16.
Food (4/5) Great food but quantity is inconsistent. My friend’s had almost twice the amount of bacon and chicken. Chicken and waffles: Crispy chicken and waffles. Good eggs: the eggs and sauce is a little heavy for the taste especially in the morning. Might not be good for those who prefer lighter breakfast but if you do, try this. Chilli eggs: Satisfactory. Spiciness was just right and eggs was smooth. The combination has sweet, salty and spicy and it complemented the flavours well. Full stack pancake: It was nice and worth the price. Portion was sufficient to fill you up for the morning.
Service (3/5) The food came a little slow but the drinks was fast. So do expect to wait a little for the food. The staff was nice and service was good overall.
Ambience (4/5) simplistic design with sufficient space both inside and outside the restaurant.
Overall (4/5) Great place...
