Tasteless, overpriced food. This is easily the worst food I’ve had a long long time.
To the owner, You have zero clue about food prep and cooking. You should consider another profession. Your should get rid of your cook.
You don't have to apologize, you don't have to try to justify everything, just listen and learn.
I ordered teriyaki beef Bento box.
This is what was wrong with it.
Food was tasteless. No seasoning, no salt. Bland. This is not Japanese food. The “tempura vegetables” you make are not tempura vegetables. They are soggy mush. You have no clue about Japanese food. I eventually found the the teriyaki sauce for the beef under the mushed up ‘tempura vegetables. The sauce is meant to go on the Beef not under the mushy vegetables. The rice was undercooked. The edamame has no salt on it.

Read moreThis was a nice experience and a good variety of veggie options on the menu. There could have been a few more veggies in the stir-fry and the portion size was a bit low, but taste was nice. The tempura veggies were good although the tempura chips were a bit cold. Pad Thai also good amount of veggies and portion size.
The staff were friendly :) Pre-made Sushi in the fridge too. Was busy with takeaway orders.
There is not much indoor seating space....enough for 7 max. There is more outdoor seating though, but it was windy and cold! The table was a bit sticky too, so wouldn't say the dine in experience is the focus for them!
My meal came out after everyone else in my group had finished after I had asked if it was coming. They were very apologetic and gave a few extra tempura chips which was nice.
Good for takeaway. Pretty...
Read moreI've been going to wok n roll for 20+ years (Wok n Roll filled our school lunch orders when I was in primary school, and my parents live around the corner from the original Mosman Park store.) The owners are delightful people, and the food is consistently good. My favourites are the chicken rice paper rolls, teriyaki salmon with veggies (you can get noodles or rice instead if you prefer, but make sure you ask for extra sauce!), green chicken curry, and the vegetable tempura. It's been great to watch their business expand over the years - they now have a Nedlands store, and you can buy their meals in The Boatshed. It's the perfect dinner to take to the Camelot outdoor cinema across the road too. You'd be stupid not to try it if...
