Muffin Break Mt Gambier Marketplace — Restaurant in Mount Gambier

Because i am a smart man, at Muffin Break, i ordered a muffin. My muffin was tasty, it was succulent, it was big and it was spoiled in no way.

My Mocha that went hand in hand with my muffin was decadently made. However, that isn't to say the same about all the coffee's... A certain Cappuccino wasn't very worthy of its name.

With this Muffin Break, being positioned inside a shopping complex, there isn't all too much to see, apart from a large car park and a big white empty space with people passing by. So it's not the most atmospheric place to be. Unless you love the background sites of a shopping complex... However, with that being said, being positioned in a shopping complex does allow for that coffee break-ahem-Muffin Break, to seclude yourself from the hustle and bustle of your shopping, or working-whatever the case.

Their specialty is muffins, and they do specialize in their muffins. But they also have other additions to their menu-the sort of things you'd expect at a cafe.

If not for a bad cappuccino, then i would most definitely give this review 5 stars, but it would not be fair to neglect their bland cappuccino. My Mocha was wonderful though, as was my muffin, and so therefore, for me, wonderful was...

Horrible experience. I had been looking forward to my delicious Mars muffin all day, and arrived at the shop to find I was just in time to score the last one. I pointed to the muffin I was after, which the lady confirmed was indeed of the Mars variety I had been waiting for. Happy with my purchase, I drove away. To my absolute HORROR, upon opening my muffin bag 10 minutes later I found that I had not been given the delicious Mars muffin I requested, but a measly apple and cinnamon variety. I immediately turned around and drove back to Muffin Break, praying that my Mars muffin was still there.

When I got back, my Mars muffin was of course gone (stolen by the lady serving me?), and when I pointed out this mistake, the hag of a woman was EXTREMELY rude, offering me only a refund- no apology, not even an extra free muffin for my troubles. When I questioned her further, she simply told me to leave.

What an awful experience. I am now left having wasted over 30 minutes of my life in my attempt to secure my beloved Mars muffin, only to be left with a bad taste in my mouth, caused not only by that hag but also from a mediocre at best apple and cinnamon muffin.

I popped into muffin break again but this time the service was appaling ..female dark hair ..so i was standing infront of the register and i saw a male tradie waiting to be served ...so i said to the girl you can serve him ..i had time and i actually thought it was a nice thing to do ..this is where it suddenly got hard ..she told me i had to move out of the way of the register otherwise in her words she could no serve him ...interesting ..now i moved to the left and stayed to the left of the register and I DID NOT MOVE ....My turn for service i ordered what i wanted and guess what she still managed to serve me without my moving ..now she was being sarcastic in her loud THANK YOU ..and i was not rude ..i said ...yeah thank you and you still managed to serve me without being infront of the register...never encountered this problem before and i hope manager has a word to this staffer and explain there is no difference infront to the left to the right ..its actually about good happy positive service.... ruined my morning and doing my good...
