Blackwood Cafe — Restaurant in Nannup

Sadly we have had to change our review from a 5 to a 1 with the new management. We have been going here for years and our group consisted of mostly Nannup locals. I had bacon eggs and two bits of toast 6 weeks ago for $19 I had bacon eggs and two bits of toast 2 weeks ago for $19. A week ago I ordered the bacon and eggs at $19, I was starving so I got all the extras mushrooms, avocados, and halloumi it came out with one bit of toast. I politely asked if they had forgot it and they were quite blunt and said no it was one bit of toast under new management with the new menu. I asked if I could order more toast at this point the staff seemed completely exasperated and said they arent doing breakfast any longer. The entire breakfast was just a miserable experience, it was less than a month ago staff couldnt have been more pleasant and helpful. I understand it was a long weekend but it's the regulars will keep you going when the tourists aren't there. I'm a big fella, if ive been working on the farm all morning and order coffees smoothies, breakfast, heaps of extras, and I need a second or even god forbid a third bit of toast I suggest you do it. I'm happy to pay for it, we always tip you very well and as for you not doing breakfast any longer, you had just set my breakfast down, turn the toaster back on! I could cook my own breakfast, I'm after a pleasant experience what ever the new management has done to make the staff so miserable so quickly, could you...

To be honest the general attitude of staff was less then pleasant. 1st while ordering the lady serving seemed totally uninteresting, unhelpful and kinda rude when answering our questions. 2nd we had to repeat the table number four times, then when the food came out they called the wrong table number when we worked out it was our order the lady acted like it was our fault then put our food plate down on the table in a huff. 3rd 2 out of the 3 drinks ordered came straight away while mine which was the same drink as the other two didn't come out, when I enquired about it finally after everyone at the table had finished eating and drinking the lady reacted as if inquiring about my drink was unreasonable... the muffin was dry, the panini was cold and and the milkshakes were not flavoursome. I'm here on holiday for 7 days and wanted a nice Cafe to come to each morning, but I won't be coming back to this one. Being in a small town with little competition I guess the staff don't have to try hard to keep their customers but I think some of the staff need a lesson in...
