Pickle & O — Restaurant in Nannup

ToMR was starting yesterday and like the majority of people in town it seemed, I headed to Melo Velo for a coffee. Unfortunately the staff couldn't deal with the influx of patrons and were visibly stressed by it. I walked up the road to Pickle & O and was greeted immediately by friendly staff, they accommodated with my triple shot coffee order which arrived in no time. They use Biobean coffee and have awesome food options available. Seems like a lot of locals frequent the cafe, which is always a good sign. After my MTB ride I returned for another coffee for the road, staff remembered me and repeated my order straight away. I will definitely return...

We stopped here a few times in Feb 2021 when staying in Ballingup. The service was so good, the golden turmeric drinks so rich, and the bliss balls so, well, blissful, that we kept coming back. So when heading to Pemberton in October 2021, we decided to go out of our way and drive on a dirt road in the wet from Donnybrook to Nannup to relive the experience. But it was not the same person behind the counter, and the golden turmeric was watery, and the bliss balls were not so blissful. Back in Nannup July 2024. Back to original standards. So delighted. We liked the healthy food options here. So nice to have fresh and tasty food without feeling guilty. Walnut, pumpkin and chickpea burger and chicken kebab was fantastic. Both crammed with salad. Food was very slow in coming. Many places in Nannup were closed so the cafe was very busy. They did their best to keep up but obviously the kitchen was small and there was not enough staff for the number of customers. I would like to come back when it is quieter. Garden area for dining was lovely and it would be nice to read or relax in....
