As a family and individual that has dealt with the trouble of having to set up open house viewing for the grandparents on their huge farm house. And finally being able to head back home to Adelaide. Pit stopping at Naracoorte for the night before the journey home. Decided to have a late evening dinner at the Highlander Restaurant, enjoyed the exceptional service from staff, compliments to the chef as we haven't had veggies as good as what we had since Covid has impact how the hospitality service in regards to self-serve salad bars. (My mum in particular loved them, especially the flavouring they applied with it). Serving sizes were generous too, reasonably priced for the service and food you receive too. Most happiness this family has experienced all week. Would 100% recommend stopping in to enjoy yourself, rewind and enjoy the food in a nice quiet scenery. Cool paintings are set up around the place too, especially love the possum. Happily will continue to keep on support the small businesses to keep Australia running in all its glory! :)...

Friendly and genuine country service is a clue to what is to come. High quality produce, creative flavors and beautiful plating propel it into a sphere above all other local competitors. The menu is contained and the chef over delivers. The T bone steak was juicy and tender with a mouth-watering garlic prawn sauce and great steak chips. The stuffed chicken breast was succulent with a very tasty mushroom gravy . The rocket, pear and walnut salad had a subtle dressing and sharp parmesan shards. The sour dough bread with garlic confit elicited a WOW !! Try it and you will be addicted. All in all, The Highlander is serious about food....
