I would give zero star if I was allowed to. I have tried so many indian food and this is the worst Indian ever!! No sorry the food didn't really taste like Indian!!! Food was horrible.
Chicken Tikka... fairly big size 4 pieces of chicken, however reheat by microwave.
Ordered chicken korma and lamb madras for main. The curry sauces for both curry were exactly the same....one with a lot of sugar that made up korma and the other one with a lot of salt which made up madras. I have never seen a madras curry could be that YELLOW! We double checked with the waitress and she said the order was right. The texture of curry was terrible, like peanut butter with water, no taste of spices...I didn't know what I was eating, very gross. I really think the chef doesn't know how to cook indian food, the curry might be made by pre mix power and the chef didn't even mix the right amount. To be serious, the curry pack you can buy from supermarkets tastes million times better!!
Then moved on to cheese naan, NO that was not a naan bread at all. Not soft not chewy not fluffy..it was something like a hard roti and the cheese used was ricotta cheese?? Anyway cheese inside didn't melt and was grainy. Lastly, stream rice tasted salty. The only thing that tasted good and right was the bottle of red.
What a shame that the chef has ruined this restaurant. Beautiful atmosphere but horrible food. $100...
Read moreOn arrival we were greeted and sat at a nice table. There were 3 other tables seated in the restaurant. When the waitress took our order we were told that the kebabs were not available. We were also told that the prices may differ from the menu. I was bewildered as there were no fresh dishes on the menu with market prices. I did read the reviews and was dubious about ordering any India dishes (being a lover of good Indian cuisine), so I settled for a meat lovers pizza. It was drenched in bbq sauce making it difficult to taste any other ingredients. The rest of the table ordered Indian food and my judgement to not order Indian was spot on. The beef korma was dreadful to say the very least. The naan bread was a very poor quality store bought naan that was heated under a grill. It was crunchy and crispy more like a poppadom. The poppadoms were very salty. I couldn't even try the butter chicken. The worst of all was we were charged more for every dish and the drinks were more expensive than listed on the menu. The meal was $218.00 for 4 people. Extremely overpriced for such poor quality food and service. I recommend booking...
Read moreWe went on a public holiday and were so thankful that this place was open. The place was quiet at the time (presumably because it was a public holiday people didn't really know it was open) and we decided to order take out. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. I personally ordered the butter chicken (because I am a basic white man), and the smell was mouthwatering good. And the taste was so good. Personally it is the BEST butter chicken I have ever had and I devoured it. Such a shame it's in Naracoorte and I live up in Adelaide otherwise I would keep coming back to eat every other week. Naracoorte's best kept secret honestly. Thank you for the tastiest meal and...
