Agnes High Tea Pavilion — Restaurant in New South Wales

As it was my 9 year old daughter's birthday and 3rd term school holidays, we had made a short trip to Port Stephens. As part of the experience for my daughter, we had bought a high tea scoopon voucher for Agnes High Tea Pavilion at Bobs Farm.

Upon arrival at our booked time slot, we were advised that Agnes High Tea Pavilion had no record of us or the scoopon voucher we had bought even though we showed them the voucher and the booked timeslot but to not spoil the day for my daughter, Chef Lovely and the nice lady serving on Saturday, the 7th of October 2023 were so kind to organise a high tea service on a short notice.

It was not perfect as understandably they needed more time to prepare but what they managed to achieve in the 15 minutes or so was truly amazing.

What could have been a disappointing experience was quickly turned into a pleasurable one. I can’t thank these two wonderful ladies enough for what they did for my daughter.

I am delighted to post a review about Agnes High Tea Pavilion. I had attended the High Tea yesterday with my mother that is visiting from Europe and with my infant son. The lovely lady serving us had been so attentive and especially considerate to my infant son who was with me. From the moment we stepped in to the last sup of tea. She gave us a background story on the birth of the lovely High Tea rooms on the picturesque site and explained the passion the Owners have envisioned in bringing this to life. If you are booking a function with numbers around 30 + people ensure you arrange your format prior to the day. If you are seeking tiered cake stands as per ‘a typical high tea’ arrange these prior or it will be a smorgasbord style buffet high tea. Also tea and coffee is served after the food - if you seek it earlier or with your food arrange your format prior to the day. Having experienced St Agnes High Tea prior and not advised of any different format when booking a larger function. It is up to the customer not the venue manager to clarify the running of the function. Lesson learned...
