Coffee & Kitchen Ballina — Restaurant in New South Wales

I previously left an honest opinion on here about a meal I was dissatisfied with. I have now removed the review as the owner quickly responded to my review and offered a meal replacement for my Meal. My partner and I went to Coffee and Kitchen east ballina today,Parked in the Car Park and called the store to let them know that we were there and then we made our order across the phone. We were waiting in our car until we thought our food would be ready but by surprise a man started to walk towards our car with food from the shop. He then walked upto my car window with a big smile on his face to get my attention. I opened my car door and he introduced himself as the owner of the store and passed me our order. We thought the store was only going to replace my meal so we said we havnt paid for it yet, He responded with letting us know that our meal today is on him and he hopes we have a great day. We said are you sure? And he said yes definitely. What a nice man! He definitely made our day. Our Food was Fresh and Delicious and we will definitely be back! rude blonde middle aged wait staff. was given a hot coffee when i asked for iced (no biggie) but when i politely told her she rolled her eyes and walked away not saying anything, no word on whether i was supposed to have the wrong drink or if a new one was being made. she came back with a new one 5 minutes later not saying anything, dumped it on the table and gave us a dirty look and then left. rude rude rude, all it took was a simple “sorry bout that”. didn’t even really direct us in to begin with when we approached and was not followed up with, given no menus or water, had to get it all ourselves yet everyone else was being given...

I've been here several times now and I'm always happy with each visit. The food is good, the portions are generous, the staff are courteous and attentive. For those with a sweet tooth there is a comprehensive selection of cakes and sliced available. There is always a good vibe with some music playing and the decor has a 'beachy' look. It's possibly the best cafe in Ballina - at least I haven't found a better one yet... There are disabled parking spots available and wheelchair access is good. Even though COVID restrictions/requirements for business have relaxed the cafe still has hand sanitiser available, which is nice...
