If you look at the ratings that I have applied you would be expecting a poor review, and that is what is happening.
So we arrived 30 minutes before close (not knowing when close is - it was a spur of the moment thing). We asked about food and was told the kitchen was shut. The young lady was putting the last bit of glad wrap over any pre-made food and didn’t even offer a wrap. We settled for coffee only.
When we asked if we could sit outside with the coffees we were informed “yes” however also informed that would be packed up soon.
We ordered coffees and the had them outside.
I have to say that at no time were we made feel welcome. More like what are you doing here and what a pain you two are. No smiles, no chat, no nothing.
When we were outside finishing our coffee and the pack up commenced the feeling was just as cold as the young lady did her stuff near us and never even spoke to us.
No “how was the coffee” or “apologies about the kitchen” or “enjoy the rest of your day” or “nice day for a ride” (both my wife and I were riding motorbikes and it was obvious). Instead we were made feel unwelcome the whole time.
There is NO reason that I would go back and spend money at that cafe. No reason whatsoever. Nothing made me want to go back to a place where the staff (yes both staff) that we interacted with made us feel like we were unwelcome and at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Maybe if I was buying Kilo bags of coffee beans like others that came in after us I might have got a different reception.
It might be a great experience for other people at other times BUT I can only provide what occurred. And 2:30pm on a Saturday is not a good time apparently. They acted like they just wanted to go home and that would be exactly when the doors are shut. We were just a...
Read moreI have never written a negative review until today as I have never had such miserable service that warrants a whinge but here we are… As I walked into the cafe at 2:13pm the girl behind the counter looked at her watch then back down without a word. Thinking perhaps they were closed and not wanting to burden them, I asked if they were still open for take aways and was told yes. (Have now checked Google and it says they close at 3pm on Saturday’s, so not even about to close) I ordered a sticky chai and was asked if I meant an infusion chai, I said the prana chai and the girl responded yea, the infusion. She rung up my order, I paid and she went to make it without any eye contact since my arrival and with such a sullen attitude that I was made to feel like I had done something wrong just by being there. The drink was made in a flash, given no time to infuse and tasted as such. I was honestly so taken aback by how uncomfortable and unpleasant the situation was that when my partner wanted to go back in to ask for a refund on my behalf I insisted I didn’t want one, I just wanted to get...
Read moreWent there this morning after reading the good reviews and we were so disappointed... Received our coffee in a takeaway cup, and when asked if we could have it in a ceramic cup like everyone else we got told sorry regular size coffees don't come in reusable cups.. weird answer and barrista was obviously not pleased to give me a cup to pour it in. We wouldn't have minded, but our orange juice arrived after we'd finished our meals. Tables were left dirty. Out of 4 poached eggs, 3 were overcooked, otherwise good was okay but not amazing. And they messed up the order of the couple next to us so the husband had to eat without the wife. The caramel cacao peanut butter smoothie was delicious though ($12). Not sure if it was a bad day for service, it wasn't that busy though, we definitely wouldn't go back, especially for $60 for a brekkie for 2. Shame as it sounded like a...
