Avoid at all costs!!!!! 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Had high hopes for this place given the reviews, and convenience near the HVG. The person who took my order was nice and took my order though with a bit of confusion when I asked if the Ricotta pancakes were suitable for a child. I will mention that there was only one other table in front of us. It took over 20 minutes for two milkshakes and a coffee to come out. About 10 minutes later came over to us to say that they were out of pancakes can she have waffles instead? Only just started cooking the other two meals aswell. Firstly how do you run out of pancakes unless they are prepared and microwaved? You're a cafe they should be made on premises. The staff were rude and abrupt saying that they were busy, and were reluctant to give us a refund. Even tried to get us to put it back on card when we paid cash. Absolutely disgusting service, to make it worse they were making smug remarks as we left. I hope the information centre close this cafe and get different hands as I definitely won't recommend this place to anyone. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Thankfully didn't ruin our fun for the Snow Day at HVG, as they had great food, speedy service and so amazing...

This is a bustling cafe that knows how to deliver a tasty and quick breakfast experience. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, filled with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling bacon.

We had the corn fritters and big breakfast, and it did not disappoint. The flavours were fresh and vibrant, and the portion of the big breakfast was insanely good!

While the cafe's popularity means it can get quite busy, the lively atmosphere adds to its charm. However, if you're looking for a quiet spot, this might not be the place. Despite the hustle and bustle, the quality of the food and the quick service make it a top choice for a satisfying breakfast.

Overall, Lovedale Cafe is a great spot for a delicious and efficiently executed breakfast. With tasty food and fast service, it's an excellent choice for those busy mornings when you need a hearty meal on the go. Four stars...

This was my and my expecting wife's first place we ate after getting married the day before. While we were sitting at our table, we got a call from our Doctor with amazing news that and revealed to us our baby is going to be a little girl! We both immediately began crying tears of joy and when we told our server Bella what happened she was incredibly happy for us. A few minutes later, Bella and Maddie both came out with this lovely pastry dish for us! We were both blown away from how lovely they were to us. It just made our already special weekend all the more so. A thousand thank yous would not be enough for how kind both of these remarkable women were to us that day. Thank you so much Bella and Maddie!

PS: The food was also sooo good! We will definitely be back whenever we are in the Hunter...

We visited this nice café again today after an absence of a few months. Very good to know it is now open 7 days a week. We as a group of scooter riders used to visit it regularly, then Covid hit, and then it was not open on Wednesdays for a while all impacted on our visits, so very glad it is open again. Coffee was great as usual as was the good selection of cakes and goodies to go with it. One very minor grip we have, is the size of the mugs :( we love our coffee, as does most of our group and could we please have some bigger mugs? cheers Oigy from the Coffee Country Cruisers :) 7/12/22, Just want to add, my scooter group visited the Cafe again today and had great coffee and cakes, and I am HAPPY to report that now they have decent sized coffee cups, cheering, thanks guys, we will be back again soon :)

Upon entry you'll feel like getting a warm hug as you're welcomed to pick a table to review the menu which has great variety (including vegetarian options) before ordering at the counter. Food is served quick and fresh paired with a smile on delivery. Our kids love the waffle and berries with Nutella, Icecream and maple syrup and we are huge fans of the big breakfast. Usually we dine in but this time we were in a hurry so grabbed takeaway (as in photo attached) With the cosy atmosphere, delicious meals, fantastic service, and close proximity to the wineries, we can highly recommend this place to others - it has never disappointed us as the quality is always top-notch. The Cafe is located at the Information centre so work checking out if you're a tourist.
