I recently had the most incredible dining experience at Restaurant Cuvee at Peterson House in Pokolbin. Not only was the food absolutely sensational, but the exceptional service and care I witnessed during a challenging moment with our elderly father truly touched my heart.
Let me start by saying that the food at Restaurant is absolutely outstanding. The menu offered a wide variety of mouthwatering dishes and our group enjoyed our courses, each bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. The chef's culinary skills truly shine through in every bite.
However, what truly sets Restaurant Cuvee apart is their exceptional service and genuine care for their diners.
During our visit to celebrate our mother’s birthday, my elderly father had a medical episode, and the staff immediately sprang into action. The quick response, professionalism, and compassion from Claire and Hannah in particular were truly commendable. Not only did they provide first aid assistance promptly, but they also ensured our father’s well-being and our family was their top priority.
The entire team at Restaurant Cuvee demonstrated remarkable teamwork and composure during this stressful situation. Their ability to handle the situation swiftly and efficiently while still providing outstanding service to other diners was truly admirable. They went above and beyond, and their actions showcased their commitment to the safety and well-being of their customers.
Throughout the episode, the staff checked in on our family, providing support and reassurance. They displayed genuine empathy and kindness, making sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for. The level of attentiveness and personalised service was truly remarkable.
If you're looking for a restaurant that not only serves fantastic food but also goes above and beyond to ensure the comfort and safety of their guests, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and applaud their outstanding team for their remarkable service.
Thank you, Restaurant Cuvee, you have set the bar incredibly high, and I can't...
Read moreMy partner and I had an unpleasant experience at this restaurant. The restaurant was well presented with beautiful view of the vineyard. The staff were attentive however unaccommodating. The food was disappointing.
The restaurant had the plastic shades down due to the wind, and aircon was off. Shortly after being seated, we kindly requested either ac be turned on slightly or the shades lifted up a bit so there’s some sort of ventilation as we felt very stuffy and warm. The staff returned to say they’re unable to do either because everyone would be cold. My partner felt dizzy due to lack of ventilation and unable to enjoy the food.
We ordered the sirloin and the fish, juice and ice coffee.
Fish: well cooked and balance of flavour.
Sirloin: for $43 plate, the meat was bland, dry, and overcooked. We had ordered for it to be cooked medium rare. When enquired the staff, the staff had said ‘that’s what a medium rare looks like’. We were taken aback, but did not proceed to argue. We barely touched this plate. The waitress did came back to check if we there’s anything we needed, but it’s clear there’s other customers’ needs are way important than ours. We felt uncomfortable to continue our lunch so we left within 30mins of being seated, and paid $100 for food we barely touched.
We drove from Sydney to spend the day here at hunter valley and we were looking forward to a nice lunch. However, we were very disappointed in the way we’ve been treated and the food served. I hope they can reflect and...
Read moreMy hubby and i recently dined here and again we were extremely pleased The food, atmosphere, staff and overall ambiance are always amazing My only criticism would be that the dessert "Meringue with lemon and rhubarb sauce was underwhelming but overall would highly recommend this restaurant
We returned to sadly be disappointed as our experience was not as great as it usually is except for the delicious drinks. For entree we ordered the Cream cheese, bacon, caramelised onions, mozzarella, shallots, bread but the dip was hot, cluggy and ok in flavour but the texture ruined it. For main we ordered Jerk chicken supreme, mango, chili, Spanish onion, coriander and it was okay but lacking in flavour - needed more coriander but pleasant enough just not memorable. The Roast potatoes, crème fraiche, chives side was too big and we had to take the rest home but it did not travel well or taste good the next day but they where tasty while dining. For dessert we ordered Christmas cake trifle, Muscat, mascarpone, spices, cherries, analgise but as i made a traditional home pudding it tasted quite the same but mine was better. Cherries where bland and the Christmas trifle was just pudding. I only really enjoyed the 2017 Semillon Pinot Noir which i bought two bottles next door $32.00 each but worth it. Service was friendly and attentive, we go the seat we wanted but i would not return for food only for a...
