As a symptom of most multicultural restaurants in regional suburbs, the food strictly caters to Westerners and, as a result, superficially represents Thai cuisine and suffers in being painfully mediocre and overpriced. One out of two Thai restaurants in Lithgow, its spacious setting and healthy atmosphere eased our visit to the town. The service was warm and attentive throughout, they gave us a heads up to order quickly as they said they had a lot of bookings. It seemed like a great sign that the food's quality would align with its booming business. Alas, that was not the case.We ordered a pork pad see ew, sesame chicken and chicken and cashews which were all served promptly to us. A positive note are the large portions of meat and reasonable plate sizing, ensuring that we would not go hungry. However, the vegetables were cut into huge chunks, making it difficult to chew and for the seasoning to seep in. The sesame chicken was forgettable compared to its contemporaries, its only distinction being sesame seeds and a generic sweet soy sauce to conceal the banality of the dish. Fortunately, the chicken and cashew did reinvigorate my interest with a hint of chili and the earthy crunch of cashews. Though the chicken for both dishes were dry and the soupy remnants of sauce didn't help with improving its flavour. The best dish on the table by far was the pad see ew, Noi's diversifying the traditionally sweet, delectable noodles with tender, large pieces of pork and a variety of vegetables including cauliflower and capsicum. While everything is palletable, the food here is neutral and remains stagnant with the fear of not suiting rural tastes. I don't doubt their culinary skill or background but perhaps some Thai excitement and spice could really make a difference in...

I don't know what has happened here but service has really gone downhill. Used to be great but slowly been more and more dissapointed. Visited 2 weeks ago and asked for BBQ chicken and stir fry veggies to share between 2. After 45 minutes, BBQ chicken sent out, followed up 3 times to ask where veggies were. After another 45 minutes when we went to leave they said they were starting to cook them. Cancelled and received a bit of a face when we said we didn't want them. "Not even takeaway" was barked at me. Thinking they might have just had an off night, we gave the benefit of the doubt and went back tonight, 3 of us. Ordered 3 meals. Fair enough, chap did say they were busy with take away so would be a wait of around half an hour. All good. 1 meal came out after 55 minutes. The next meal 15 minutes later. 3rd meal had to be followed up and appeared to have been forgotten about. All up 1 hour 20 for 3 meals to get to us....

Not recommend, specially if its already half full. We waited for 30 mins to be sitted, and more than 1 hr later of sitting on table, food was served. There were 7 staff, but half of restaurent (in half full reataurent) were waiting for food for very long time. Serving was happening one dish at a time, including rice as one bawl at a time. Our oder was not taken correctly at the counter, and when pointed out the mistake, chef kept arguing instead of accepting the mistake. While we wait for food, chef kept coming out every 5 mins (including while eating) and others waiting. People before us were frustrated, but stuck waiting for food as already waiting for long time and hungry. I have seen restraurents half the staff, and serving customers much faster and diligently.

Not recommended if you are hungry and just want to have nice dinner and get out. Ok if you have 4-5 hrs to spare...

Clearly one of the worst Thai food we have ever eaten in our life… after waiting for 45-50mins for a food to be served, the food was very salty and felt like food was not cooked in a oil but a oil was cooked in a food… Thai fried rice was pretty decent but rest of the food was definitely no no .. I have also never seen cauliflower and pumpkin in a Thai food.. We did eat the food because we had no option but we could barely finish the food. Also a Thai lady who works there was very rude to one of the waiter there who is white. He was doing a good job but for some reason she has issues with him..

Wait staff was very attentive, and brought out our dishes at the rice pace starting with entrees first, then mains, then desert. We loved the butter prawns, and home made satay sauce for the chicken skewers. The yellow curry and creamy chicken had the right amount of protein with healthy servings of veggies. The bill came up higher than I expected, but it's a result of increasing prices (we got a warning at our table) as well as being slugged a surcharge for a Sunday. Overall though enjoyed my experience, the food was very tasty. Great sticky rice mango for dessert!
