I was excited to try this place, being one of the very few restaurants at a winery in Orange it was nice to go somewhere outside of town with a view. I was very disappointed in the service we received. It took them 15 minutes to come over to our table and take our order, it wasn't until we started ordering that we were told that they were missing a few items and so we had to re-pick some of the order. It would have been great if that was one of the first things they mentioned when they sat us, we understand that the food is seasonal and certain items wouldn't be available.. but when we spend 10-15 minutes deciding what to get only to be disappointed and having to choose something else on the spot, its a little frustrsting. I wanted the lamb rump and when I was told the replacement was a steak I ordered it, not realising the steak on offer was a cut made for a casserole or a stir fry. It was so chewy and had tendons running all through it, I left half of it on the plate. I can't believe they still charged what they did for this steak, I'm surprised the chef wasn't embarrassed to serve it. We had a cocktail that didn't show up for half an hour and when it was delivered it was a very rude 'I don't know where this goes' from the bartender. Lastly, we were overcharged $85. It was refunded when i called the next day but just seemed to top off the awful customer service and sub par food from this 'fine dining' restaurant. Its a shame because the views are incredible but I will not be returning. 3 stars for the view only, without it there...

We visited both the wine bar and restaurant over the June long weekend. While the views were stunning and the staff did their best when they were clearly understaffed in both the wine bar and restaurant, the positives stopped there. Upon arriving 5 minutes early for our pre-booked wine tasting, our group of 6 were met with bewilderment. Rather than reserving us a table, they had filled the small space with walk-in guests. We were offered to either do our tasting along the bar, or to collect our own additional seats to squash around a barrel, located near the door leaving us cold with every new visitor’s arrival. It was nearly 15 minutes before our tasting was started, as the poor staff member hurriedly washed enough glasses for us. We were not told the names of the wines as they were being poured for us, nor any additional information about them. After our tasting, we headed down to the restaurant for what had promised to be an outstanding three-course meal. We were once again met with disappointment. We had specified in our booking that two of our group were gluten intolerant/coeliac, however were told the restaurant had “run out” of gluten free bread as a starter and no alternative was offered. The food itself was nice, but fairly average considering the $80 cost pp. Overall, a disappointing experience. There are definitely better places to go for both food and...

Went to Sister's Rock for dinner with my husband whilst on a weekend getaway to Orange from Sydney. When I booked I advised them that I was vegetarian and they said that no problem - they could accommodate even though it was a set menu - 2 course for $90. I was assured there was flexibility in the menu. Unfortunately, when we arrived and I saw the menu and discussed it with the waiter I wasn't given any options. There were no vegetarian choices for entree and the only option available was to remove meat from one dish but they didn't add anything, thus the entree was very bland. I did ask if they could do a cheese plate but was advised this wasn't an option. For mains there was a pasta dish which I didn't like and the only other choice I was given was a cauliflower steak. I thought I would give it a go. It was the worst food I have eaten. I don't know anyone who can eat half a cauliflower which was undercooked. We chose a chardonnay and unfortunately this was served at room temperature. Luckily, we had a wine cooler but still we should have been advised that the wine we had chosen wasn't chilled and we could have chosen something else. We should have sent it back but we thought it would cool down in the cooler. It didn't. My husband enjoyed his food and the atmosphere lovely but I wouldn't go back to this...

A fabulous restaurant - simple food done well. The staff were friendly and knew the menu well. Portions were generous for both food and wine. Very relaxed atmosphere in elegant surroundings. A great place to relax and dine after a day of exploring the local wineries and sampling local produce. We will definitely return on our next visit to Orange, and recommend staying in the on site accommodation (I don't believe there is a better view than from laying in bed!).

Excellent meal and beautiful setting. Service was impeccable and we loved the whole experience. It was a special treat for lunch after travelling and working for 4 months and it met expectations. Mushroom soup and bread as amuse bouche, then lovely burrata and beetroot, gorgeous steak and then crème brûlée. So good. Lovely relaxed winery lunch. Highly recommend

I love how the business keeps growing and changing to serve its loyal customer base. We recently held my mother’s 70th birthday celebration under the blossom trees on the lawn, adjacent to the sky bar. We enjoyed a wonderful grazing table (catering for dietary requirements) in perfect surrounds with incredible service. Low key, relaxed and perfect!
