Lake Canobolas is a man-made reservoir located near Orange, in the central west region of New South Wales, Australia. Completed in the early 1900s, between 1918 and 1957 the lake supplied water to Orange and since the 1970s has been used for recreation purposes.

Spent a few hours here while in Orange. Family really enjoyed. Highly recommend it. Bit of something for everyone. So peaceful and just a lovely place to enjoy nature.
The walk around the lake was very manageable even for kids. Ours were between 5 and 9 years.

Driving from Cowra to Orange, we drove through Canowindra, then to Lake Canobolas which is about 1hr from Cowra, or 15mins from Orange.
