Teppanyaki really is dinner and a show, a style of dining like no other, where the chef arrives arrayed in toque and fancy apron, knife and spatula at the ready. You're left waiting for the close up of Matt Preston filling his face with just off the hot plate prawn meat proclaiming the glory of Teppanyaki cooking and the wonderful flavour And gloriful and flavourful it is. These chefs masterfully utilise their tools like a samurai but with kinder intention and cook your meal right before your eyes, with a bit of rhythmical banging and some friendly culinary theatrics besides. (You might get an egg thrown in your direction!) Food prepared this way somehow tastes better, much like a live concert of your favourite band sounds better. (I couldn't believe Steely Dan could sound better, but there you go!) The prawns were delicious, the scallops exceptional but for me the hero of the night was the steak.... Freshly prepared with salt and butter into bite sized, tasty pieces, the beef really was a treat. Recommend the $35/$40 per head menu and NGL that is expensive for a restaurant which sits atop a motel in Warners Bay and doesn't offer even a faint glimmer of Fujisan or Tokyo Bay. Still, it certainly amounts to an...

Just as I remembered it.
Chef puts on a show, asks if people want to catch food or not etc.
Everyone has a great time, the food is fresh and comes at a pretty constant rate.
If you go for the deluxe Fukusui Teppenyaki then buckle up for 'more than I remembered' in terms of courses of excellent food, some incredible seafood, chicken and steak.
It comes pretty quickly and it's delicious, I went a little crazy and ordered some entree's that really weren't needed since we are fairly big eaters and by the end I was properly full with the Entree's ordered ontop of the excellent spread of food.
Staff can video your family if they have spare hands during some of the service for the catch / interactive part if you don't have anyone to film.
They accommodated for people at out table to video.
Great family restaurant, we took my niece and nephew who are under 12, they had a great time.
They haven't changed their well tuned machine in over 20 years because it works great and is a great night out for groups of people for an interactive meal / fun.
Highly...
Read moreI took my two kids to Fukusui for a new experience and it was a great experience. The young man was welcoming at the door and showed us to seats around one of the hotplates next to another family. The chef soon arrived soon afterwards and started cooking and he was very friendly and entertaining. It was great to watch a master at work and we all had fun with the games he played while cooking and we all had a lot of laughs. The reason for not giving 5 stars is that the food servings are not the biggest but yet they were very enjoyable and at the end of the night we were all comfortably full. My 10yr old son said at the end of the night that it was fantastic and it's not often that you can go out for dinner and meet total strangers sitting next to you and soon start talking and all have fun together. So I consider that a great night out, It is definitely worth 4 1/2 stars. Will definitely go back and for anyone that wants an entertaining casual night out with good food and lots of laughs, then I...
