We live on the mid north coast and this place is half way on our trip to Sydney. Monday the 14th of Oct. 2024 was our third and last time we will ever take a break at this joint! The service is atrocious, the food is awful and the place is an absolute disgrace! Every time we’ve visited here we’ve had to wait at least 10 minutes for our eat in orders when there has been literally next to no one else in the restaurant. The staffs whole focus is on drive through. There has always been tables with rubbish on them and the floor littered with dropped food. At the same time as this, there were staff standing around doing nothing when they should have been sweeping the floor and cleaning the rubbish! The person I assume is the manager, is also busy doing not much when she should have been instructing the trainee staff to grab a broom, or even grabbing a broom herself! As for the toilets, the men’s is a disgrace with broken seats and unclean, my wife said the same for the female toilets. I don’t blame the staff or even the manager, I blame the franchisee for allowing this business to sully the reputation of Hungry Jacks! They say “The Burgers are Better at Hungry Jacks” well, not at this joint! Before and as I waited,upon hearing the names or number called an apology was given " sorry for the delay today" I heard that about 3 times then just a thank you. No explanation for the delay we all just stood and waited and waited like flat lemonade while a lot of unhappy people started to fume. They still kept taking orders at the counter but not once explained there was a delay. Not good enough. It was flogging down with rain and a few buyers left their disgruntled words behind as they walked out the door. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE?? If you have a problem and your behind start telling people as they come in, "there is a delay" so they can decide if they want to wait so bloody long. NOT GOOD ENOUGH Hungry Jacks get ya act together and train your staff in customer respect and service. When I finally got the burger and handed it to my husband I said I'm going to KFC. I admit we showed up 5mins after 10pm, but the door was still opened as we entered only for you to run over and tell us to leave. We had been in the car for 8 hours straight at that point and we only asked to use the bathroom for my 8yr old daughter who desperately needed it and you denied us entry only because you had "already cleaned it". I had to beg you 3 times to let us in even suggesting I'll clean up afterwards if I had to only for you to lock the door in our faces and telling us to go use another facility. What a joke!
Yous prioritise productivity and making sales at the end of the day, you forget the simple fact of customer service and meeting people's needs. It would've been 2mins of your time to let a mother and daughter through but you chose your own Convenience.
